Welcome and thankyou for your interest in UK Railways. You may also wish to check out Wikipedia:WikiProject UK Railways and consider joining as a member ... thankyou. Please be careful working on article lede's (leading paragraphs) as they have often been viewed by many and claims are needed to be supported in the body if not directly in the lede itself. But I think your raising of the concern of the use of "Inter-city" in the L&MR lede on the articles talk page was very well spotted and handled.
