Please do not overlink

Please see wp:OVERLINK for policy and suggestions Linking "History" on Anjaree is unnecessary as the vast majority of English speakers understand that word. Please avoid doing that. Thank you Adakiko (talk) 09:24, 23 February 2023 (UTC)

Please read wp:OVERLINK for suggestions. If the word is common, such as history, organization, personal, life, is not directly pertinent to the topic, it probably should not be linked. "Life" might be, but most likely not, be a good link in an article on biology. "Organization" might be a good link in an article on a company's structure. I suspect that most links have already been made. I would not go about looking for good, linkable words, probably best to link if you happen to notice an important one while copy-editing an article. On All My Children you link Andrita. It doesn't go to the topic you intended, I suspect. Mid is a wp:disambiguation (DAB) page which is a list of pages that is associated with "mid", wikt:acronyms and such. Nothing associated with "mid-". Rarely should a DAB be linked in an article. I would agree with Materialscientist that you should avoid wp:wikilinking until you get a better grasp of editing on Wikipedia. Cheers Adakiko (talk) 09:49, 23 February 2023 (UTC)
