As for your question, I don't see how it's wrong to quote someone in any circumstance, so long as you have an actual source to back up the quote (i.e., a newspaper article, magazine, or the minutes themselves). I'm afraid he's right. I had a quick look on your last version and the things that got removed and they seem somewhat out of place here. I see that you've done a lot of work, putting it here with sources and all. Best would be, to contact the other editor and talk with him about the issues. Hi. I'm not quite sure of your question; to create a page, you just go to an article that doesn't exist, such as zoning variance, and choose 'start a new page'. To make a link, you'd edit Variance (land use) and put in [[Steamboat springs, colorado]] in the text somewhere. The word would then be a 'wikilink' to the other article. You could put it in the 'see also', or somewhere within the article. OK? --  Chzz  ►  04:25, 15 March 2009 (UTC)

I don't know what you mean by "it won't let me". I can see that you have made changes to the article, and only this one was changed by another user. If you disagree with their comment, "rv per WP:WEIGHT - council minutes are overkill here", please try to discuss it with them on the article talk page. If that fails, see WP:DISPUTE. {{helpme}} It was a big change since "riskier" just deleted all the references. I think she is paid off to patrol certain articles and delete information. Wikipedia is just a waste of time because it allows "editors" to delete references for the purpose of keeping infor from the public. I'm sorry that you feel that way. Wikipedia is just a collection of volunteers, trying to improve this information resource. Of course, there are lots of problems, but we always have to assume good faith; we don't have laws or rules, just policies, and we try to decide everything by discussing it. It works pretty well, most of the time. Of course, not everyone on wikipedia is a 'nice person', and there certainly are some people who try to abuse it to further their own aims - but there's many ways to deal with that. You can make a big difference, and I'd really encourage you to stick with it. If you have a problem with the persons edits, the first thing to do would be to speak to them - politely - about it. If that doesn't work, you can get others to help resolve the problem. Ultimately, a disruptive user can be blocked from editing.

I hope you will continue to contribute; I don't think you've asked any specific question here, but if you do have one, please ask again.

Please remember that Wikipedia in not the news, detailed minutia of local zoning issues do not belong in an encyclopedia entry.
