I made my first edit, and am about to get my "Welcome To Wikipedia" message, sent (if someone notices the need) to welcome all new users. I welcome this message.

But I am already familiar with The Seven Pillars of Wikipedia. "Love your Ad", as the saying goes... But I've already seen more pillars than Doris Day could have, if she had made 1,001 movies... Why, I practically wrote The Pillar Book, so move on over, 清少納言. I've been studying Wikipedia in an academic context now for going on 15 years.

Oh oh oh oh.... Someone might also send me a message saying it's good practice to sign my messages with "Four Tildes". [This is but one Tilde: ~ ] Well, I know ALL about the Four Tildes, too, my favorites being Tilda Swinton in Caravaggio, then Tilda Swinton in Orlando, but NOT Tilda Swinton playing Muriel Belcher in that film about The Colony Room that doesn't seem to be listed in her Filmography, only because it was made for television, even though I saw it in a theatre, a portrayal that seemed so misguided to someone who actually knew Muriel that it practically put the viewer off her fandom for life--but I "got over it", at least (or am trying)-and Tilda Swinton in Hail, Caesar! playing the twin versions of the self to which she could never hold a votive oil lamp... not that I have a problem with the Four Tildas-do you think I have a problem? Is there a problem? Mister?-but I posit there are at least Five Tildas, one of which I really really don't like. And like Tilda, I've enough material for several reality shows...

So don't be afraid to engage me in a Good Faith mindset, I'm all about the mindsight...

Edit summaries in languages other than English

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia! I'd like to ask you to limit the language used in your edit summaries to English alone. Not everyone who edits here can necessarily speak all the various languages that you use, and it is somewhat excluding for other users, especially when they can't understand why you made an edit.--Ermenrich (talk) 13:51, 5 May 2019 (UTC)

Edit summaries...again

Hi, and thanks for your contributions. It's good that you're using edit summaries; they're really helpful, and a lot of people just don't do it. However, please keep them to the point, and in English only, as Ermenrich noted above. For example, this edit was perfectly fine, but the summary was completely off-the-wall. Simply stopping at "moved comma" would have been plenty for the summary. (Alternatively, I like to point to the relevant MOS section when I make this sort of fix, MOS:LQ in this case, but that's just me). I'm not sure why you're doing this, but it's a bit disruptive since it clutters article histories with apparent gibberish text. Thanks, –Deacon Vorbis (carbon • videos) 14:35, 21 May 2019 (UTC)

Let me be a bit plainer this time: Please stop leaving disruptive/misleading edit summaries. After I left my most recent message, you've left two more summaries that weren't in English: [1] and [2], and three more that were more or less in English, but like the others , were completely bizarre and had nothing to do with the actual edits you made: [3], [4], and [5]. Again, I don't know why you're doing this, but please just knock it off. You haven't responded to any concerns raised here, but see WP:Communication is required for why this could be a problem. To add to this, please leave descriptive edit summaries. In your recent College Park, GA edit [6], "cappa leddurs" was very difficult to understand. I only took it to mean "capital letters" after comparing versions. Tn8r8r (talk) 17:24, 22 May 2019 (UTC)

Deacon Vorbis (talk · contribs), Tn8r8r (talk · contribs), thank you for flagging these issues and for all your concern. When I think about Wikipedia and the abuses committed by Users like the dreaded Vesuvius Dogg (talk · contribs), who (very appropriately) <personal attack redacted>, and when I think of the manic lengths to which VDogg went to in creating a shwo a’here of himself on Wikipeedia, and all thohse other rrgular Winipedia editors working naught-stiffs poring over edit summaries, looking to find “vandalism” and coming up so sorely shortchanged, and how irritating it surely must be to read edit summaries that will stand the teat of time, and endure well beyond our lifespans, with more information than can easily be comprehended at a glance, oh oh oh oh, all this!! It makes me remember how important it is in this world to just shut some people down... or let themselves take themselves down, as I am doing.

And as a Wikipedia editor going back to 2004, with years of responsible editing and editing summaries, I honestly don’t think edit summaries should he abused. And I have done so, abused them... Not just in this incarnation, but in my last ... This is a confession, a rhapsody, of a repeat offender!!

So this is my last edit as Anne Knish, unless I attach a user mugshot for the forensic record — so that the Likudniks will know goddamn well what they were snuffing out — but delete that too, if you must ... because destroying people, and families, and every record of them, as if to make it look like they never existed, is very high on the agenda of those Jews who learned quite well the lessons of the Holocaust.
