Dear Annabelle000,

Thanks for your contributions to the Jason Orange article.

  • I have done some clean up there in order to bring the article into compliance with Wikipedia's policies for biographies of living people (see WP:BLP). I'd be happy to discuss or explain my changes on the article talk page if you have questions or would like to discuss something.
  • It is not necessary for any editor to make claims about there real life ID nor is it appropriate for anyone to inquire about an editors real life ID. Most WP editors work here anonymously and that is supported by WP policy. If there are concerns about editor conflict of interest then please read WP:COI.
  • WP articles are comprised of information that is culled from reliable secondary sources like newspapers and books. (see WP:RS) One's personal view or claims are not a basis for adding info to an article. We must cite reliable sources.

I look forward to working together to improve the Jason Orange article.--KeithbobTalk 21:00, 29 August 2013 (UTC)Reply

Thank you for the welcome, Keithbob.

I felt I had to edit the mis-information from the editor known as OrangeJeanne as she is well known by other Take That fans to be an over-devoted fan of Jason Orange and has twitter and facebook pages claiming to be his partner, which is completely without foundation. But I was surprised and rather alarmed at her cheeky attempt to add her details in the Jason Orange biography! Hopefully she has realised this is not the place for her more fanciful notions.

I did also notice, on her user page, that she still states she is his partner.

Thanks for your help. Annabelle000 (talk) 02:49, 4 October 2013 (UTC)Reply

Citations edit

OK, the quick lesson on cites is to use the general format of: author's name (last name first) date of publication, URL (if available), name of publication, page number (if applicable)

  • Sample citation below (click EDIT to see proper code)
  • [1]

Alternately you can go to your PREFERENCES/EDITING and select SHOW EDIT TOOLBAR this will enable a citation tool icon at the top of your edit window.
