Notes edit

Hi! Here are my notes for you:

  • The number one thing I must emphasize is that this is going to be a section in an article as opposed to an article. As such, what will be in this section will be more specific and targeted than an article would be. As such, this needs to be summarized more and some portions will need to be reduced to a couple of sentences. I'd review the sections on the Middle Ages and 20th century as examples. The Victorian era section can be a little bigger, but it shouldn't be by too terribly much.
As far as what should be covered, I'd spend the majority of space focusing on what types of food were eaten by which groups, how the food was prepared, regional variations, and if any new foods were made and adopted during this era. I'd say that this should be about 4-5 paragraphs long. Things like what habits continued into the modern era should be minimal if they're mentioned.
  • All of the major claims need to be sourced with reliable sources that explicitly back up the claims. There are large portions here that are unsourced.
  • Make sure that none of this is original research, meaning that it's content you came up with based on sourcing that doesn't make these claims. We can only summarize what has been explicitly stated in the source material.

I hope that this helps. Shalor (Wiki Ed) (talk) 19:31, 17 April 2019 (UTC)Reply
