To the administrator & anybody in concern: I'm thinking of adding to the "baraca" page, just after the use of the word in different balkan (mainly) languages, the following text: "; also in med. greek, originating from ital. word "baracca" (in mod. Greek the word is transformed to: "paraga" [1][pa'raŋga]); also english "barracs" from french "baraques" and this from spanish word "barracas"[2]". I think/hope that by mentioning the source, there is no copyright problem... Am I right or not? (i.e.: I still have to ask for the writer's or publisher's permition or boths' permition?) - Hi, everyone is free to edit Wikipedia, so you don't need permission. But you do need to follow policies. Some points:
- You can't exactly copy the wording of a source, even if you give a reference.
- You can give the same information in different words (i.e. paraphrase) if you give a reference.
- There are many articles with long lists of names in other languages, so I understand why you would like to add Greek (και μιλώ λίγο Ελλινικά), but WP:NOTDICTIONARY is a policy that says that Wikipedia isn't a dictionary, so lists of words by themselves are not appropriate.
