Capitalization on Miku article

edit

I have something else to add after my welcome message. I noticed that on the Hatsune Miku article, you changed Vocaloid to VOCALOID, etc. While I am sure your edits were in good faith, they unfortunately likely go against Wikipedia's style guidelines, which say that for trademarks and brand names, we should capitalize them as normal proper names, unless an alternatative stylization is used in the majority of third party sources (this is from MOS:TMRULES). I think most news and academic sources capitalize it as "Vocaloid," so I have reverted your edit. Don't take it badly though; I know you were only trying to help, and I hope to see you make more edits in the future! (Sorry to get you all tangled up in Wikipedia guidelines and stuff from the very start! After spending more time here, you'll probably realize that Wikipedia can be pretty bureaucratic at times, and people reference policies and guidelines a lot, which can be annoying, but I think it can still be a wonderful place to be. And one of the most important Wikipedia policies? Be Bold with your edits, which I see you are doing already!) Sandtalon (talk) 22:51, 12 July 2021 (UTC)Reply
