Hello, I'm Yamaguchi先生. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Sindh, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at referencing for beginners. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Yamaguchi先生 (talk) 21:52, 27 December 2022 (UTC)Reply

Please do not add or change content without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. – Uanfala (talk) 22:04, 29 December 2022 (UTC)Reply

Please also note that Wikipedia is not the place to write based on one's own personal experience and knowledge: all content added here needs to be based on published sources. See WP:OR. – Uanfala (talk) 15:33, 30 December 2022 (UTC)Reply

You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you add unsourced or poorly sourced material to Wikipedia, as you did at Sindhi language. Yamaguchi先生 (talk) 17:23, 31 December 2022 (UTC)Reply

Copying licensed material requires attribution

edit

Hi. I see in a recent addition to Sindhi Embroideries you included material from a webpage that is available under a compatible Creative Commons Licence. That's okay, but you have to give attribution so that our readers are made aware that you copied the prose rather than wrote it yourself. It's also required under the terms of the license. I've added the attribution for this particular instance. Please make sure that you follow this licensing requirement when copying from compatibly-licensed material in the future. — Diannaa (talk) 19:46, 27 May 2023 (UTC)Reply

Yes i was about to do it, as the article is still unfinished, you told me last time but i forgot how to add attributions, should i edit it on the content or in reference list? And thank you for putting attributions. AngelicDevil29 (talk) 19:51, 27 May 2023 (UTC)Reply
I already added the attribution by including the template {{Creative Commons text attribution notice|cc=by4|from this source=yes}} at the end of the relevant citation. — Diannaa (talk) 19:57, 27 May 2023 (UTC)Reply
Ok thanks again, i will use this code in future for giving attributions. AngelicDevil29 (talk) 20:01, 27 May 2023 (UTC)Reply

Sindhi Rajputs moved to draftspace

edit

Thanks for your contributions to Sindhi Rajputs. Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing at this time because it needs more sources to establish notability. I have converted your article to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.

Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page OR move the page back. —Saqib (talk I contribs) 00:27, 14 May 2024 (UTC)Reply

Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at Langah (clan). Your edits appear to be disruptive and have been or will be reverted.

Please ensure you are familiar with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines, and please do not continue to make edits that appear disruptive. Continued disruptive editing may result in loss of editing privileges. Thank you. Sutyarashi (talk) 17:31, 27 June 2024 (UTC)Reply

how are those sources unreliable, when these sources have been used in multiple Wikipedia articles? You are removing source content. AngelicDevil29 (talk) 17:36, 27 June 2024 (UTC)Reply
This was your first cited source[1], and I can't see anywhere calling Langah as Sindhis. Second[2] mention Langha, not Langah tribe. Not to mention the publisher Cambridge Scholars Publishing is not
as of good reputation, see Wikipedia:Reliable sources/Noticeboard/Archive 381#Cambridge Scholars Publishing. Third is published by Notion Press and hence is unreliable per WP:SELFPUBLISH.
Moreover, Langahs are not found solely in Sindh. Unless you're willing to rephrase it as a Baloch, Sindhi and Punjabi tribe, it's against WP:NPOV to label it merely as Sindhi. Sutyarashi (talk) 17:49, 27 June 2024 (UTC)Reply
the first sources mentions the rajput tribes of Sindh in whivh Langah are mentioned, the second source uses langha spelling for Langah, due to their similar pronunciations.
and it's not about where this tribe lives presently, it's about their origins. AngelicDevil29 (talk) 18:07, 27 June 2024 (UTC)Reply
Misrepresentation of sources. First mentions Langah of Multan, not "Rajput Langah of Sindh". And if Langah and Langha are same, why they have different articles? Sutyarashi (talk) 12:44, 28 June 2024 (UTC)Reply
Also non of Langah in Punjab identify as Punjabi but rather as Saraiki and speak Saraiki language not Punjabi. AngelicDevil29 (talk) 18:11, 27 June 2024 (UTC)Reply
You need to read WP:NOR. Sutyarashi (talk) 12:44, 28 June 2024 (UTC)Reply
why are you removing the sourced content on Daudpotra, which of source is unreliable? Every source I cited mentions Daudpotra to be branch of Kalhora tribe.
And why is it even necessary to specify northwest of Sindh? perhaps they originally lived there, but presently they are present elsewhere in Sindh as well, Karachi and Hyderabad for example. AngelicDevil29 (talk) 19:50, 1 July 2024 (UTC)Reply

There is currently a discussion at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents regarding an issue with which you may have been involved. Thank you. Sutyarashi (talk) 10:38, 2 July 2024 (UTC)Reply

@Deepfriedokra: @331dot: just for a little background, AngelicDevil29 got indeffed as a result of this ANI discussion. Please have a look over their past unblock requests and block log as well. AngelicDevil29 was already given a chance to contribute constructively after previous block was lifted on 22 January, and they showed no improvement regarding the issues which lead to their first block. I have been going through the articles they had been heavily editing, and quite honestly, they are a mess. It is clear that AngelicDevil29 takes the WP guidelines as suggestions, which can be easily ignored or overridden. Unless it is expected from the community to waste even more of its time in educating them about Wikipedia principles, which they are not going to pay heed anyways (several examples there at ANI), and keep a track of what they edit, I don't see what possible benefit is in giving AngelicDevil29 a third chance. Sutyarashi (talk) 09:00, 4 July 2024 (UTC)Reply
@Sutyarashi: Yes. Thank you. I'm the one who unblocked the appellant. Agree with 331dot. -- Deepfriedokra (talk) 11:32, 4 July 2024 (UTC)Reply

Deletion discussion about Kachela

edit

Hello AngelicDevil29, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia.

While your contributions are appreciated, I wanted to let you know that I've started a discussion about whether an article that you created, Kachela, should be deleted, as I am not sure that it is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia in its current form. Your comments are welcome at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Kachela.

Deletion discussions usually run for seven days and are not votes. Our guide about effectively contributing to such discussions is worth a read. The most common issue in these discussions is notability, but it's not the only aspect that may be discussed; read the nomination and any other comments carefully before you contribute to the discussion. Last but not least, you are highly encouraged to continue improving the article; just be sure not to remove the tag about the deletion nomination from the top.

If you have any questions, please leave a comment here and prepend it with {{Re|Dclemens1971}}. And don't forget to sign your reply with ~~~~ . Thanks!

Hello, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. A page you created or have recently made significant changes to, Dhareja, may not conform to some of Wikipedia's guidelines for pages, so it has been blanked and redirected to Sindhis. Three typical reasons for this are that: (1) the article's subject appears to fail our notability guidelines; (2) the article is unsourced; or (3) the sources used in the article are unreliable. The page's history is preserved and it is possible to restore the article: If you believe that this page should remain included on Wikipedia or that this action was taken in error, then you may revert the edit that blanked and redirected the page.

Wikipedia:Your first article has more information about creating articles, and you may also want to read our introduction page to learn more about contributing. Thank you. Dclemens1971 (talk) 14:52, 8 August 2024 (UTC)Reply
