Your account has been blocked indefinitely from editing because of the following problems: the account has been used for advertising or promotion, which is contrary to the purpose of Wikipedia, and your username indicates that the account represents a business or other organisation or group or a web site, which is against the username policy.

You may request a change of name and unblock if you intend to make useful contributions other than promoting your business or organization. To do this, first search Special:CentralAuth for available usernames that comply with the username policy. Once you have found an acceptable username, post the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with your new username and replace the text "Your reason here" with your reasons to be unblocked. In your reasons, you must:

  • Disclose any compensation you may receive for your contributions in accordance with the Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure requirement.
  • Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the kind of edits for which you were blocked.
  • Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked.
Appeals: If, after reviewing the guide to appealing blocks you believe this block was made in error, you may appeal it by adding the text {{unblock|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your reason here" with the reasons you believe the block was an error, and publish the page.

Request reason:

Dear Kuru, my apologies for violating Wikipedia rules and I understand the reason for a block and will not repeat the promotional edits in the future. I don’t receive any compensation for my contributions here. If I’m unblocked, I will do my best to use my knowledge and make a contribution to all Wikipedia users by adding some references and images, checking facts, expanding some existing articles and creating new articles

Accept reason:

Allowing username change to requested username. Please select an option from Wikipedia:Changing username and file a request as soon as possible to avoid re-blocking. As below, please avoid your clear COI. Kuru (talk) 17:39, 10 December 2020 (UTC)Reply
  • Kuru What is the reason for a hard block? I don't see any contributions by this user. 331dot (talk) 14:23, 10 December 2020 (UTC)Reply
    • 331dot Spam blacklist log. Several attempts add kickstarter links while creating an article for his company, combined with the username. Kuru (talk) 14:30, 10 December 2020 (UTC)Reply
  • To this user, if you are an employee of LaMetric, you are a paid editor, you do not have to be specifically paid for your edits. What topics do you want to edit about? (note, I will be away for a few hours if someone else wishes to act on this, that's fine with me). 331dot (talk) 14:33, 10 December 2020 (UTC)Reply

I would like to edit the topics related to the smart home and consumer electronics industry since I’m quite knowledgeable in this field LaMetric (talk) 14:48, 10 December 2020 (UTC)Reply

Just to be clear; you will not make any further edits related to your products or services, direct or indirect, correct? Kuru (talk) 15:18, 10 December 2020 (UTC)Reply

Yes, that’s correct. LaMetric (talk) 16:19, 10 December 2020 (UTC)Reply
