IWC Discussion edit

Hi AGD - please dont take offence at my reinstating your post on the IWC talk page - its important to keep a record of all bona fide discussion so that which follows may be kept in context. Moreover, the next time the same issue arises (as it will) then there will be precedent for reference (this happens a lot on the Wikipedia). We don't edit material out to save space, instead talk pages are archived when they get too long. The only things removed or edited are obvious vandalism, incl. profanity or personal attack, and obvious typos (normally corrected by the one who made the typo). When I was new here, I made some big mistakes on talk pages, so please dont take anything I write personally - you are still doing better than I did in fact.... I believe you have a lot to offer and hope to see you stick around the Wikipedia, being bold. István 18:50, 21 February 2007 (UTC)Reply

Oriental Bluebird edit

Just a note - the image you uploaded is up for speedy delete - I would suggest replacing the copyright tag with either a GNU-license or fair use tag so that it will not be taken down. You will find that copyright issues are both an asset and burden on the Wikipedia. I've also pulled a few hairs out over this type of thing before... István 21:35, 21 February 2007 (UTC)Reply

Also, could you find the URL to the Oriental Bluebird's listing on Lloyd's - it may be password protected. When a ref is repeatedly used, its listed differently - if you find it, I will set it in order. István 21:41, 21 February 2007 (UTC)Reply

Dear uploader: The media file you uploaded as Image:20070219 heli 187 500.jpg has been listed for speedy deletion because you selected a copyright license type implying some type of restricted use, such as for non-commercial use only, or for educational use only or for use on Wikipedia by permission. While it might seem reasonable to assume that such files can be freely used on Wikipedia, a non-profit website, this is in fact not the case. Please do not upload any more files with these restrictions on them, because content on Wikipedia needs to be compatible with the GNU Free Documentation License, which allows anyone to use it for any purpose, commercial or non-commercial.

If you created this media file and want to use it on Wikipedia, you may re-upload it (or amend the image description if it has not yet been deleted) and use the license {{GFDL-self}} to license it under the GFDL, or {{cc-by-sa-2.5}} to license it under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike license, or use {{PD-self}} to release it into the public domain.

If you did not create this media file but want to use it on Wikipedia, there are two ways to proceed. First, you may choose one of the fair use tags from this list if you believe one of those fair use rationales applies to this file. Second, you may want to contact the copyright holder and request that they make the media available under a free license.

If you have any questions please ask at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you. —Pilotguy push to talk 02:20, 25 February 2007 (UTC)Reply
