Speedy deletion nomination of Phoebe Bridgers

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Phoebe Bridgers requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a band or musician, but it does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Gbawden (talk) 10:49, 12 July 2016 (UTC)

Don't bite the newcomers!

Hey there,

I just noticed that you removed a paragraph created by an IP user on the Charley Crockett Wikipedia page. Perhaps instead of removing it, the section could be altered a bit and some sources added. After all, we were all beginners at one point. JasperTECH (talk) 02:51, 26 October 2016 (UTC)

Ahh, my mistake - I did a direct search for the words used in the Wikipedia article, but that website didn't come up. Sorry about that. JasperTECH (talk) 03:19, 26 October 2016 (UTC)
No worries! I do think the article could use a section like that though, so I'll try and create one when I have the chance. Andise1 (talk) 03:22, 26 October 2016 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Charley Crockett

Hello Andise1,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Charley Crockett for deletion, because the article doesn't clearly say why the subject is important enough to be included in an encyclopedia.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. MarkDask 03:40, 21 December 2016 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Wildhoney (band)

Instead of just tagging the article for deletion, an article that I presume you saw was adequately sourced for its size, you could have helped expand the article. There are plenty of articles out there with very poor or no sources, why not spend time looking at those articles instead? Not typing this to bash you or anything, but when sourcing isn't an issue the first thought should be expand, not delete. With bands, sometimes there is not much more to say other than what they have released, but the music they release is what makes them notable in the first place. Under the specified criteria, where a page has substantially identical content to that of a page deleted after debate, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". Declined speedy deletion nomination of People Can’t Stop Chillin

Hello Andise1. Speedy deletion work is important and I do appreciate the effort. I would just ask that you please review the criteria carefully because accuracy is also important. On that issue, I have declined your speedy deletion nomination of People Can’t Stop Chillin as an article on a musical recording that does not credibly indicate the importance or significance of the topic under CSD A9. That criterion did not apply because it is only for articles on musical recordings where none of the contributing recording artists has an article, and an article on Sports (band) exists. Adam9007 (talk) 01:58, 19 January 2017 (UTC)

@Adam9007:, see the articles talk page on the reasoning why I tagged it as A9. After reading my message, you will understand my reasoning and hopefully can delete the article. Andise1 (talk) 02:02, 19 January 2017 (UTC)
Well, this is confusing. It does indeed seem that there are two bands with that name: one formed in 2012, the other last year. Am I right? The one who produced this album is the new one whose article has been deleted? Adam9007 (talk) 02:08, 19 January 2017 (UTC)
@Adam9007: someone created an article on a band called Sports from Oklahoma. They also created the page for one of the albums that band released, which I tagged for speedy deletion. I nominated the Oklahoma band's article for deletion (who released the album we are discussing), and it was closed as delete. I has previously created an article on another, more notable band called Sports from Ohio, who was moved into the Sports (band) article name space. The album for the Oklahoma band was never deleted. Does this make sense now? Andise1 (talk) 02:11, 19 January 2017 (UTC)
Yes, I think. Adam9007 (talk) 02:17, 19 January 2017 (UTC)

A tag has been placed on Draft:$uicideboy$, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion discussion, such as at Articles for deletion. When a page has substantially identical content to that of a page deleted after a discussion, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Proposed deletion of Prince Daddy & The Hyena

Hello, Andise1. I wanted to let you know that I’m proposing an article that you started, Prince Daddy & The Hyena, for deletion because I don't think it meets our criteria for inclusion. If you don't want the article deleted:

  1. edit the page
  2. remove the text that looks like this: {{proposed deletion/dated...}}
  3. save the page

Also, be sure to explain why you think the article should be kept in your edit summary or on the article's talk page. If you don't do so, it may be deleted later anyway.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions.

Speedy deletion nomination of Ian Sweet

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Ian Sweet requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a band or musician that does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia.

However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator.
