Speedy deletion nomination of File:Homer simpson.gif edit

A tag has been placed on File:Homer simpson.gif requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the file appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use it — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Oakland (disambiguation) edit

Please note that disambiguation pages like Oakland (disambiguation) are meant to help readers find a specific existing article quickly and easily. For that reason, they have guidelines that are different from articles. From the Wikipedia:Disambiguation dos and don'ts you should:

  • Only list articles that readers might reasonably be looking for
  • Use short sentence fragment descriptions, with no punctuation at the end
  • Use exactly one navigable link ("blue link") in each entry that mentions the title being disambiguated
  • Only add a "red link" if used in existing articles, and include a "blue link" to an appropriate article
  • Do not pipe links (unless style requires it) – keep the full title of the article visible
  • Do not insert external links or references - Wikipedia is not a business directory

Speedy deletion nomination of File:Drew Binsky in ghana.PNG edit

A tag has been placed on File:Drew Binsky in ghana.PNG requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the file appears to be a blatant copyright infringement of https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a-EwCg-T9CE.

Apostrophe abuse edit

Just an FYI. Apostrophes do not belong with plurals. Note the word "apostrophe" and "plurals" just there. They'd be wrong with 's. The 's is good with a contraction like "it's" (for "it is") and for possessives, like "denimadept's horse", if I were to own a horse.  :-) - Denimadept (talk) 16:59, 1 October 2021 (UTC)Reply

National varieties of English edit

Hello. In a recent edit to the page Bee Gees, you changed one or more words or styles from one national variety of English to another. Because Wikipedia has readers from all over the world, our policy is to respect national varieties of English in Wikipedia articles.

For a subject exclusively related to the United Kingdom (for example, a famous British person), use British English. For something related to the United States in the same way, use American English. For something related to another English-speaking country, such as Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Ireland, India, or Pakistan use the variety of English used there. For an international topic, use the form of English that the original author of the article used.

In view of that, please don't change articles from one version of English to another, even if you don't normally use the version in which the article is written. Respect other people's versions of English. They, in turn, should respect yours. Other general guidelines on how Wikipedia articles are written can be found in the Manual of Style. If you have any questions about this, you can ask me on my talk page or visit the help desk. Thank you. - Arjayay (talk) 21:46, 8 October 2021 (UTC)Reply

Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at Bee Gees. Your edits appear to constitute vandalism and have been reverted. If you would like to experiment, please use your sandbox. Repeated vandalism may result in the loss of editing privileges.
British English, which that article is written in, uses the plural for groups and bands. If you were unaware of this, please see the discussion and explanation at Talk:Pink Floyd - Arjayay (talk) 09:06, 9 October 2021 (UTC)Reply

October 2021 edit

Please explain your contributions using a descriptive edit summary. Changing information on Wikipedia (such as numbers and dates) without explanation, as you did at Bald and Bankrupt, may be confused with vandalism. Thank you. Nemov (talk) 17:47, 11 October 2021 (UTC)Reply

Hello, I'm Nemov. I wanted to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions to Bald and Bankrupt have been undone because they did not appear constructive. If you would like to experiment, please use your sandbox. If you have any questions, you can ask for assistance at the Teahouse. Thanks. Nemov (talk) 18:07, 11 October 2021 (UTC)Reply

Hello. I have noticed that you often edit without using an edit summary. Please do your best to always fill in the summary field. This helps your fellow editors use their time more productively, rather than spending it unnecessarily scrutinizing and verifying your work. Even a short summary is better than no summary, and summaries are particularly important for large, complex, or potentially controversial edits. To help yourself remember, you may wish to check the "prompt me when entering a blank edit summary" box in your preferences. Thanks! bojo | talk 00:59, 12 October 2021 (UTC)Reply

Hello, I'm Muhandes. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Barbie Girl, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at referencing for beginners. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Muhandes (talk) 15:06, 14 October 2021 (UTC)Reply

One of your recent edits has been removed in whole or in part, as it appears to have added copyrighted material to Wikipedia without evidence of permission from the copyright holder. If you are the copyright holder, please read Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials for more information on uploading your material to Wikipedia. For legal reasons, Wikipedia cannot accept copyrighted material, including text or images from print publications or from other websites, without an appropriate and verifiable license. All such contributions will be deleted. You may use external websites or publications as a source of information, but not as a source of content, such as sentences or images—you must write using your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously, and persistent violators of our copyright policy will be blocked from editing. See Wikipedia:Copying text from other sources for more information.   Please do not remove speedy deletion notices from pages you have created yourself, as you did with File:Spongebob Sticker.jpg. If you believe the page should not be deleted, you may contest the deletion by clicking on the button that says: Contest this speedy deletion, which appears inside the speedy deletion notice. This will allow you to make your case on the talk page. Administrators will consider your reasoning before deciding what to do with the article. Thank you. Muhandes (talk) 09:34, 17 October 2021 (UTC)Reply

  Please stop your disruptive editing.

If you continue to disrupt Wikipedia, as you did at PlayStation (console), you may be blocked from editing. User refuses to explain edit changes after being asked multiple times. If the user doesn't start to take direction a block may be in order. Nemov (talk) 13:05, 20 October 2021 (UTC)Reply

File permission problem with File:Spongebob Sticker.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading File:Spongebob Sticker.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.

If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described in section F11 of the criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Muhandes (talk) 15:08, 14 October 2021 (UTC)Reply

Just so I understand, you are seriously claiming copyrights to Spongebob, and furthermore, you are granting the public the rights to use Spongebob? That's very generous of you, though I'm not sure Stephen Hillenburg and Nickelodeon will agree. I suggest you ask for the image to be deleted yourself and save the community the time. You were warned multiple times about this already, so if you don't, WP:ANI is the next step. --Muhandes (talk) 17:42, 14 October 2021 (UTC)Reply

Block notice edit

You have been blocked indefinitely from editing for persistent disruption. Your talk page is filled with warnings regarding copyright violations and requests for sourcing yet you haven't responded to any of them or improved your behaviour inline with the policies being explained to you. The block is of indefinite duration, that is you are blocked until you post an appeal that addresses the reasons for your block and convinces a reviewing admin that you will respond to concerns when they're brought to your attention. I suggest you review the warnings and linked policy and guideline pages above prior to posting an appeal so you can understand how disruptive your editing has been.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please read the guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text below the block notice on your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  Jezebel's Ponyobons mots 21:32, 21 October 2021 (UTC)Reply
