Coast Forensics League

Hi... I noticed your article, Draft Coast Forensics League. I'm a little confused. Is the title "Draft Coast Forensics League" or is it a draft of "Coast Forensics League"? Wikipelli Talk 03:28, 30 May 2011 (UTC)

I meant to create an article that was a draft for "Coast Forensics League," but I guess I messed up. I'll try to fix that.
How do I change that?

June 2011

Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you recently tried to give Draft Coast Forensics League a different title by copying its content and pasting either the same content, or an edited version of it, into another page with a different name. This is known as a "cut and paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history, which is needed for attribution and various other purposes. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.

In most cases, once your account is four days old and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page. This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other pages that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Cut and paste move repair holding pen. Thank you. help

Hi, I was trying to teach myself how to create a template, and I think I accidentally created a new articlelearningToMakeATemplate. How do I delete it and avoid the problem again?

I think I may be generally confused with how the different namespaces work.

Somebody has tagged it for you, and it's gone. Generally, if you want to get rid of a page which only you have edited, you should put {{db-author}} at the top. Fore more about namespaces, seeWP:Namespace. JohnCD (talk) 22:28, 29 June 2011 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of LearningToMakeATemplate

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

Thank you for experimenting with Wikipedia. Your test worked, and the page that you created has been or soon will be deleted. Please use the sandbox for any other tests you want to do. Take a look at thewelcome page if you would like to learn more about contributing to our encyclopedia.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion," which appears inside of the speedy deletion ({{db-...}}) tag (if no such tag exists, the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate). Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administratoruserfy the page or email a copy to you. Monty84521:31, 29 June 2011 (UTC)
