Help desk

edit

Just so you know, typically we have robots that archive the help desk page--humans don't need to do it.

I just wanted to let you know that if you need help, just check out my talk page. --I dream of horses If you reply here, please leave me a {{Talkback}} message on my talk page. @ 20:45, 15 April 2010 (UTC)Reply

I readded your question at the help desk simply because we keep previous questions in an archive so that they may help people with similar questions later. Thanks for clarifying your purpose, I hope you didn't take offence at my explanation, it's just that some people are genuinely confused about what Wikipedia is for. Feel free to ask if you have any more questions.--BelovedFreak 21:22, 15 April 2010 (UTC)Reply

My reply to your Help desk question

I chimed in on the Help desk in an attempt to clarify your options. Let us know if you have any more questions. Wikipedia is very complex, and some aspects of Wikipedia can be counterintuitive to people who are just starting to edit here. Probably everyone who begins to contribute to Wikipedia starts off with some misconceptions about how the site should work - I certainly did. Wikipedia is different than anything most people have experienced before. --Teratornis (talk) 00:16, 16 April 2010 (UTC)Reply
