Hello, I'm Cyphoidbomb. I noticed that you made a change to an article, Raaz: Reboot, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so! If you need guidance on referencing, please see the referencing for beginners tutorial, or if you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Diff: [1] There is an obvious embedded note that asks users not to add unsourced content to the Cast section. If the content of that note was unclear to you, please let me know how to make it clearer. Thanks. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 04:50, 17 September 2016 (UTC)Reply

Hello, I'm Zackmann08. Thank you for your recent contributions to Saansein. I noticed that when you added the image to the infobox, you added it as a thumbnail. In the future, please do not use thumbnails when adding images to an infobox (see WP:INFOBOXIMAGE). What does this mean? Well in the infobox, when you specify the image you wish to use, instead of doing it like this:

|image=[[File:SomeImage.jpg|thumb|Some image caption]]

Instead just supply the name of the image. So in this case you can simply do:

|image=SomeImage.jpg.

There will then be a separate parameter for the image caption such as |caption=Some image caption. Please note that this is a generic form message I am leaving on your page because you recently added a thumbnail to an infobox. The specific parameters for the image and caption may be different for the infobox you are using! Please consult the Template page for the infobox being used to see better documentation. Thanks! Asian 10,000 Challenge invite

edit

Hi. The Wikipedia:WikiProject Asia/The 10,000 Challenge has recently started, based on the UK/Ireland Wikipedia:The 10,000 Challenge and Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The 10,000 Challenge. The idea is not to record every minor edit, but to create a momentum to motivate editors to produce good content improvements and creations and inspire people to work on more countries than they might otherwise work on. There's also the possibility of establishing smaller country or regional challenges for places like South East Asia, Japan/China or India etc, much like Wikipedia:The 1000 Challenge (Nordic). For this to really work we need diversity and exciting content and editors from a broad range of countries regularly contributing. At some stage we hope to run some contests to benefit Asian content, a destubathon perhaps, aimed at reducing the stub count would be a good place to start, based on the current Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The Africa Destubathon which has produced near 200 articles in just three days. If you would like to see this happening for Asia, and see potential in this attracting more interest and editors for the country/countries you work on please sign up and being contributing to the challenge! This is a way we can target every country of Asia, and steadily vastly improve the encyclopedia. We need numbers to make this work so consider signing up as a participant! Thank you. --Ser Amantio di NicolaoChe dicono a Signa?Lo dicono a Signa. 01:07, 20 October 2016 (UTC)Reply

Nomination of XNXX for deletion

edit

A discussion is taking place as to whether the article XNXX is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.

The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/XNXX until a consensus is reached, and anyone is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on high-quality evidence and our policies and guidelines.

Speedy deletion nomination of XNXX

edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on XNXX, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Orphaned non-free image File:Dear Zindagi Soundtrack poster.png

edit

Thanks for uploading File:Dear Zindagi Soundtrack poster.png. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. --B-bot (talk) 17:35, 4 November 2016 (UTC)Reply

WP:NPOV

edit

Hi there, re: this edit a few things:

  1. "Impressive growth" is completely inappropriate for inclusion in an encyclopedia. It's not your job to decide what is or isn't "impressive" or "beautiful" or "interesting" or "stunning" or "depressing". These are all words that convey an opinion and a point of view. Content must be written from a neutral point of view. I need you to please get on board quickly with this idea, because POV content is disruptive to the project. We're not here to promote films. And if you don't understand why the description is inappropriate, we're bound to have a problem going forward.
  2. The rest of the content is problematic because you've mixed in nett financials with gross financials. We typically only focus on gross financials in articles. Mixing the two makes it difficult to compare with other films by setting up an "apples-to-oranges comparison". I'm going to have to flag the section for cleanup, which means that the content may have to be removed.

Sources in biography articles

edit

Please note that I have reverted your edits to Ayesha Omer as you added information to the infobox that is not supported by reliably sourced content. Reliable sources include independent sources with a reputation for fact-checking and accuracy (tertiary websites such as movie and celebrity databases do not meet the criteria). For the specific guidelines and instructions related to biography infoboxes, please see Template:Infobox person. Thank you, --Jezebel's Ponyobons mots 22:43, 9 January 2017 (UTC)Reply

You are still adding biographical content to articles using websites that are not even close to meeting Wikipedia's reliability requirement. If you do not understand what constitutes a reliable source then please do not continue editing biographies until you do have a better grasp of our policies regarding sourcing and living persons. Per my message above, "Reliable sources include independent sources with a reputation for fact-checking and accuracy (tertiary websites such as movie and celebrity databases do not meet the criteria)". If you continue to insert unsourced or poorly sourced information to biographies, your account will either be blocked or a topic-ban imposed. --Jezebel's Ponyobons mots 19:16, 21 February 2017 (UTC)Reply

Selective gross

edit

Hi there, I don't think this was a very wise choice. You might be "confused", but if there is a difference of opinion about the gross values for Raees, (and let's keep in mind that all gross figures are estimates, not incontrovertible fact), then why would it be suitable to selectively eliminate one opinion? Because it doesn't conform with what you think the film made? Please avoid this in the future and consider discussing the matter first. Thank you. Album ratings in film articles

edit

Hi there, re: this, please don't use album ratings templates in film critical response sections. There's no provision for this at MOS:FILM and this isn't what this template is supposed to be used for. Also, is there a reason you presented the critical response prose in descending order? Article naming convention

edit

Consider moving 'August 2017 Harnai bombing' to '2017 Harnai bombing'. Also, 'August 2017 Bajour bombing' to '2017 Bajaur bombing' (with an 'a'). Only include the month if more than one attack has taken place in a city/area in the same year. This is why this year's D.I Khan, Sehwan, Charsadda, Mustang or Chaman articles don't carry the month in their title. The objective is to keep it simple. Fawad Khan

edit

Hi! Thanks for your contributions on Wikipedia! Though I have something to share.

While I tried to update an award there, you downgraded saying, "the award ceremony is yet to be held". Similarly, you added, "He is to perform in finale of Battle of the Bands".

Per this, the awards ceremony has already held this Sunday night in London. Also, per this, he has performed with band EP in Pepsi BoB.

Though I was unable to find some official awards' results, it doesn't mean at all that ceremony is yet to be held. And there were plenty of better references that confirm BoB's finale, as the winner is Kashmir band, so there was no more confusion left for EP's performance.

If you were updating info on page, you must have to add up-to-date info. Well, I am not degrading you in anyway, but please update the page, Thanks! M. Billoo 18:27, 20 September 2017 (UTC)Reply

But, as we all know that LSA is bigger ceremony than Hum Awards, what's your idea about creating the subpages for LSA too? For example there are wikipage about Indian Filmfare Award for Best Actor or IIFA Award for Best Actress, but why not for our Lux Style Award for Best Actor (Film)?. May be we could work out there too. Notifying Mar4d too. Thanks! M. Billoo 11:40, 24 September 2017 (UTC)Reply

Fawad Khan

edit

Hello:

The copy edit that you requested from the Guild of Copy Editors of the article Fawad Khan has been completed.

I found and added a reputable citation for his date of birth and removed the Original Research tag since the rest of the article is properly cited with what appear to me to be reputable sources.

In the Early life section this appears: "His first amateur performance was acting the title role in a play called Spartacus." There were two citations after this sentence neither of which supported the statement. I found another citation in the article which did and named it “Dawn1” and added it, removed another citation which was a ref name which would not mess up the citations, and left a third which is a complete citation. It does not support the statement, but I left it in case it actually supports something else in the article. It is highlighted.

Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns.

Regards,

Proposed deletion of April 2017 Quetta bombing

edit

Hello, Amirk94391. I wanted to let you know that I’m proposing an article that you started, April 2017 Quetta bombing, for deletion because I don't think it meets our criteria for inclusion. If you don't want the article deleted:

  1. edit the page
  2. remove the text that looks like this: {{proposed deletion/dated...}}
  3. save the page

Also, be sure to explain why you think the article should be kept in your edit summary or on the article's talk page. If you don't do so, it may be deleted later anyway.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions.

Terrorism Topics

edit

Hello, and thank you for using Wikipedia! I noticed your dedication to developing the Pakistan bombings related to the Elections of 2018. We have a list of rebel groups that still don’t have a page to be included in the Wikipedia Portal:Terrorism. If interested, please bookmark this page: Wikipedia:Requested articles/Social sciences/Military and military history and build on the Rebel Group articles that have not been developed. Any progress is greatly appreciated! Twillisjr (talk) 17:56, 21 July 2018 (UTC)Reply

Unanimous praise

edit

Re: this edit from June 2018, there is no such thing as "unanimous critical acclaim". "Unanimous" means "complete" or "total". There is no way on earth that anything can be 100% liked. In a film, a person might like the acting, but not the cinematography, or the music, but not the story. "Unanimous critical acclaim" is hyperbolic (exaggerated) language that contravenes our policy on neutral tone. Please don't submit something like this again. Proposed deletion of November 2008 Dera Ismail Khan bombing

edit

The article November 2008 Dera Ismail Khan bombing has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

The one source is from the time of the event. Fails WP:EVENT for lack of lasting coverage and impact.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.

This bot DID NOT nominate any of your contributions for deletion; please refer to the history of each individual page for details. Thanks, FastilyBot (talk) 10:01, 9 April 2024 (UTC)Reply
