Disambiguation link notification for January 1 edit

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Graeco-Roman Museum, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Neo-classical (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Signatures edit

Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion (but never when editing articles), please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:

  1. Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment; or
  2. With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button (  or  ) located above the edit window.

This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.

Thank you. Toccata quarta (talk) 20:21, 14 January 2014 (UTC)Reply

Met Gala edit

Thanks for helping out with the sources for the themes. Can you help us fill in Met_Gala#Honorary_event_day_chairs?--TonyTheTiger (T / C / WP:FOUR / WP:CHICAGO / WP:WAWARD) 11:49, 25 May 2014 (UTC)Reply

Do you understand what the difference is between the chair of the benefit and the (honorary) chair of the event day (e.g., http://www.nytimes.com/1995/10/09/nyregion/chronicle-299595.html)? Which one is the "big one"? Should we include both?--TonyTheTiger (T / C / WP:FOUR / WP:CHICAGO / WP:WAWARD) 14:57, 27 May 2014 (UTC)Reply

I notice that the honorary chairs seemed to be mentioned more in coverage of the Met Ball. For now, the list could just be the honorary chairs, since including all chairs could be too much information in the article. I would suggest asking for feedback on the talk page. --Amethyst1234 (talk) 16:06, 28 May 2014 (UTC)Reply

Friendship / Autism? edit

Hi, I was curious as to the rationale behind this edit. I can understand why an article on Friendship would be within the scope of psychology, sociology, anthropology WikiProjects, but I'm confused why it would be relevant to autism. Thanks, Cyphoidbomb (talk) 02:16, 3 August 2014 (UTC)Reply

The article has a specific "autism" section within "developmental issues". A big part of autism diagnosis is based on difficulties with social interaction. Autistic people often report having few friends. Muffinator (talk) 03:19, 3 August 2014 (UTC)Reply

Hypersexuality and Autism edit

Hello, I noticed you added a Wikiproject link to autism on the Hypersexuality Talk page. I have never heard of the two being connected. Can be please tell me why/how they are connected? A quick check on the autism page and I couldn't find anything. Thanks! ₪RicknAsia₪ 09:40, 10 August 2014 (UTC)Reply

Hi, The hypersexuality article has a paragraph about hypersexuality occuring in some autistic people, and reference 60 in the article was used to support it. A quote from the article: "Some patients with autism also exhibit hypersexuality. A variety of treatments have been tried for hypersexuality in autistic patients, with no clear consensus as to their applicability." Eustacia Ctler The reference: Jones, M. C.; Okere, K. (2008). "Treatment of Hypersexual Behavior with Oral Estrogen in an Autistic Male". Southern Medical Journal 101 (9): 959–960. doi:10.1097/SMJ.0b013e318180b3de. Adding Project Autism to articles unrelated or only marginally related to autism edit

Hi, I notice that you are adding the {{WikiProject Autism}} tags to many biographies and to the talk pages of many articles that seem unrelated, e.g. Glutamate receptor, Binaural fusion etc. Could you tell me what the criteria are for including the tag on article talk pages, and what you will add to those articles that the Project Autism is following? Many of the articles that you added the tag to are in very, very poor shape. Is the Autism Project going to clean these up, fix dead links and update those needing it with Reliable sources?

Also, many of the articles you are adding tags to already are tagged with other tags such as {{WikiProject Molecular and Cellular Biology}}, {{WikiProject Psychology}}, {{WikiProject Medicine}} and those projects have specific criteria for including information. Do you plan to work with those projects?

Thanks, Parabolooidal (talk) 20:12, 11 August 2014 (UTC)Reply

Update edit

User talk:Muffinator has been banned from making any edits to Autism, or to autism-related articles. (See User_talk:Muffinator#Topic_ban) These resulted from the addition of the {{WikiProject Autism}} to articles unrelated to Autism as well as other Autism-related edits.

So I ask you to stop tagging articles, such as List of diagnostic classification and rating scales used in psychiatry.

Thanks, Parabolooidal (talk) 19:46, 12 August 2014 (UTC)Reply

Also, a template that you are adding items to is being considered for deletion {{Autism cure movement}}. Perhaps you would like to join in the discussion? Thanks, Parabolooidal (talk) 20:07, 12 August 2014 (UTC)Reply
And please be careful in adding the tag to BLP's. There was extensive discussion at Wikipedia:Biographies of living persons/Noticeboard regarding adding this tag to the biographies of people, especially living people. Thanks, Parabolooidal (talk) 20:23, 12 August 2014 (UTC)Reply
