Hey AE, I just wanted to let you know that I'm back from my 2 week vacation in Manasquan, NJ. So what did you think about the David Tyree Artical?--Ezekiel 7:19 †alk 14:26, 5 August 2008 (UTC)

When I archived it, I forgot to correct all the pages that link to that short discussion. Enigma message 06:44, 6 August 2008 (UTC)

Thanks. I read through them all (laughing all the way, don't vandals do the nuttiest things?) and found that link wrong. My pleasure, and thanks to you for brightening up my night with them. Cheers — American Eagle (talk) 06:53, 6 August 2008 (UTC)

Speedy deletion of Bus ministry

A tag has been placed on Bus ministry requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article consists of a dictionary definition or other article that has been transwikied to another project and the author information recorded.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. SmashvilleBONK! 22:42, 6 August 2008 (UTC)

Did you type that all out yourself? ;) I replied on the talk page. Thanks — American Eagle (talk) 22:56, 6 August 2008 (UTC)

Retirement

Good to know you are still here. I thought you retired, as seen on the page. By the way, I was watching Rambo a few days ago, have you seen it? Chimeric Glider (talk) 23:12, 14 August 2008 (UTC)

Fireproof reassessment

I have left a message on the talk page of the article. I have reassessed it as future class until it is released, and if you make the suggestive changes it can be assessed as a start class. Good work so far and let me know if you have any questions. Happy editing! --Nehrams2020 (talk) 05:35, 2 September 2008 (UTC)

Fireproof DYK

Hi there. :-) That'd be a nice thing to try and accomplish. At this point, however, in order for it to be a DYK we'd need to make a fivefold expansion of the article's text within the next 4 or 5 days (since this isn't actually a new article). The article was at about 1450 characters before you began expanding it on Sept. 2 – that would cause the requirement to be at least 7200 characters by the time the article's ready for being DYK nominated at the template talkpage. The character requirement only includes the literal prose of the article, not lists or references, which is why 5x expansions can take some effort.

To get a feel for the process of DYK yourself you can always see the rules or ask me if you're not sure of anything. ;-) I've done some DYKs before, and I'd love to collaborate with this one. It'll take some work adding to the article, but yes it's possible. See ya around! JamieS93 15:40, 2 September 2008 (UTC)

Hey there, I noticed this discussion on Jamie's talk page. If you would like, I'll be happy to review your DYK nomination once your finished. I'm commonly at DYK. DYK is basically my main work around here, both, reviewing and setting up the next update (which is currently late overdue and there are no admins around <_<). I've also created/expanded about 20 DYKs (see here). So anyway, once your finished, if you would like, I'll gladly review your nomination. :-) Thanks, RyRy (talk) 06:14, 3 September 2008 (UTC)
Sorry I couldn't get back to you yesterday American Eagle. I saw the article, and it's coming along – don't worry, you're doing a decent job with it! :) I'm going to go ahead and make those Cast and Crew sections into columned lists, as that's more the norm for film articles. Other than that, I really haven't been doing much work on it. ;)
And to RyRy: that'd be great, thanks. JamieS93 23:35, 4 September 2008 (UTC)
Whenever the article has been nominated, drop me a note. :-) Thanks, RyRy (talk) 01:12, 5 September 2008 (UTC)

Its takes a special editor who after spending hours on a page trying to restore an article still listens to the debate and is willing to abandon the time and effort spent in the best interests of the project. confusion about speedy

Why did you request speedy deletion of List of Adventures in Odyssey characters as uncontroversial maintenance? If you were planning to propose a merge, then once you had obtained consensus for it, normally the article would remain as a redirect unless the full history was merged. DGG (talk) 22:29, 25 December 2008 (UTC)

Oh, I thought someone might get confused over it. I want User:American Eagle/Sandbox5 to be moved into it, but it must be deleted first to merge histories. I was going to ask an administrator to do it for me, but I didn't know who was online and didn't want a useless user talk edit. I couldn't explain it in an edit summary, as I used TW. Sorry about it, could you do it for me now? Thank you, and have a late Merry Christmas. American Eagle (talk) 02:43, 26 December 2008 (UTC)

Non-administrative closure of Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Eugene Sings!

This closure appears to be in flagrant violation of WP:NAC (lacking consensus & COI). I would request that you reverse it. I have raised your actions on WT:AFD. HrafnTalkStalk 09:12, 6 January 2009 (UTC)

Hi American Eagle. I have undone your closure and restored the AfD and the article to how it was. It might be best to allow this one to run for five days. As an involved party it would be inappropriate for you to close the AfD. You haven't done anything bad here, it's mainly a procedural issue as there is still a question over how the AfD may end. personalities

Please do not take suggested deletions as personal attacks. I suggest you redact that last sentence in your last posting at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/List of Adventures in Odyssey sagas. First, I don't think it is a personal attack. Second, even were it to be, it is usually much wiser not to say so, because true attacks will become obvious to outsiders. The personal comments on another editor do not help the defense of the article--rather the other way around. DGG (talk) 18:31, 6 January 2009 (UTC)

RE : Vision Forum

The article was about a publishing company with some substantial information, and was deleted by proposed deletion. I can restore the article as a contested prod on articlespace, and you work on it from there directly. Would you prefer this option? - Mailer Diablo 08:34, 11 January 2009 (UTC)

Hello, American Eagle. I looked at the entry for Expelled: No Intelligence Allowed, and I thought that the article was very biassed. Do you think that you could make it a little more neutral? Thank you for your good work on Wikipedia! --Jchthys (talk) 04:50, 24 January 2009 (UTC)

Well, I tried to make it more NPOV, but was reverted. I'm not sure how to do it. TheAE talk/sign 19:15, 2 February 2009 (UTC)
Do it little by little—and make it genuinely neutral—and if you keep getting reverted, maybe you should ask for arbitration. Don't let them run roughshod over you. Jchthys (talk) 03:00, 9 February 2009 (UTC)
