Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, adding content without citing a reliable source, as you did to American Green Cross, is not consistent with our policy of verifiability. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. The article American Green Cross has been speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article seems to be blatant advertising which only promotes a company, product, group or service and which would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the general criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 11, as well as the guidelines on spam. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia!

I hope not to seem unfriendly or make you feel unwelcome, but I noticed your username, and I am concerned that it does not meet Wikipedia's username policy, as it apears to promote a company or group and accounts that do this will be blocked. Use of a company or group name as a username is not explicitly prohibited, but it is not recommended, and depending on the circumstances may be seen as a problem.

Similarly, editing with a possible conflict of interest, such as editing an article about your company, is not disallowed, but anyone wishing to do so is advised to first accumulate some editing experience in unrelated areas.

Your Userpage has been deleted as it appeared to be an advertisement. Advertising or promotion of a business or organization unrelated to Wikipedia (such as purely commercial sites or referral links) is not permitted.

If you like, you can change your username by making a request at Wikipedia:Changing username. Cheers, and happy editing. Dlohcierekim 01:11, 16 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

Righty-O. Your username on Wikipedia should preferably not be the same as an outside organization. If you are writing about an organization with which you have a connection, there is the potential for a conflict of interest. Please see WP:USER, WP:Username and WP:COI for more info. Speedy deletion of American green cross

edit

A tag has been placed on American green cross requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a company or corporation, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for companies and corporations.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. Mayalld (talk) 15:37, 15 August 2008 (UTC)Reply
