Edit war at Square (video game company)

edit

Hi, welcome to Wikipedia! It looks like you're in a slow-moving edit war at Square (video game company), namely that you keep changing "was a company" to "is a company" and getting reverted by Judgesurreal777. As a general rule, if someone makes an edit and it gets reverted, the next step is to talk it out, so: why do you feel that Square "is" a company? My understanding is that the entity known as Square stopped existing in 2003 when it was merged with Enix to form Square Enix. Legally, in fact, even though they called it a merger Enix bought Square out and renamed itself, so Square stopped existing in all senses. What makes you feel that "is" is the correct term to use? Please do not continue to make this change until a discussion has been had. --PresN 14:02, 18 June 2020 (UTC)Reply

Hi, I see that you just went ahead and made the same edit again instead of discussing. If you're not willing to talk about it instead of making the same edit over and over, you may be blocked from editing for disruption. At this point you've made the same edit 8 times over 10 days, and you're starting to look like a single-issue point of disruption instead of a contributor. --PresN 02:53, 19 June 2020 (UTC)Reply
