License tagging for Image:YGParameshwara.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading Image:YGParameshwara.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 17:08, 4 July 2007 (UTC)

Congrats for DYK. You may want to change the font color of your contributions link in your signature. Red color makes it look like the link doesn't exist. Gnanapiti 20:27, 2 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

Keep going edit

It is pleasing to see the wide range of your articles varying from Mysore Sandal Soap to Narasinganavar family. You are one of the most prolific contributors and I am sure that you will go up to 100 DYKs easily. Please record your new articles in Wikipedia:Notice board for India-related topics/It's new. Many more people will know about your creations. I was wondering if you can do an article on the Bangalore IT scenario. IT exports from Bangalore are much higher than those of other cities. An article with proper comparative data would be useful. With regards - P.K.Niyogi 00:29, 7 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

Rangayana edit

Hey Amar. Good going with DYK's man. Can you have a look at Rangayana and improvise the article by making necessary changes? Do you think the fact that "Rangayana is the only government sponsored repertory in India" would make a good dyk? Gnanapiti 03:07, 14 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

Well done on the 75. Blnguyen (bananabucket) 03:54, 14 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

Sudden Interest edit

I appreciate your sudden spurt of interest in Kamma article although it is not difficult for me to understand the reason behind it. I wrote the major part of the article as you must have seen. I do appreciate your comments and referring to the lack of citations in certain sections. I shall improve the text. Kumarrao 05:14, 30 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

Intention edit

By now you might have understood, as to why I spoke in the way I did. I didn't at all mind the addition of tags, but your intentions were suspect. If they were genuinely to improve the quality of articles, I appreciate your efforts. It was not my intention to hurt or be rude to you. I hope the misunderstanding has been cleared to some extent. Hoping to address your concerns, AltruismT a l k - Contribs. 04:22, 31 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

Yes sure. But I'm not very good at images. Any links/tips on how I can find an image to be genuine? Regards,AltruismT a l k - Contribs. 04:46, 31 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

Only FYI, only citation-less biographical material can be removed immediately, as per WP:RS. I've added citations to Andhra Pradesh. I've seen the possible copyvio on some images, placed hangon, hope to address them soon. --AltruismT a l k - Contribs. 10:35, 31 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

--As you pointed out, the articles such as Kamma, Andhra Pradesh etc do lack citations at some places. In addition, the tone of the articles will be modified. I am working on the job of collecting proper citations. I appreciate your interest in these articles.Kumarrao 06:36, 1 September 2007 (UTC)Reply
