Image:Toronto Public Library Logo.svg

edit

Hey there! I noticed that you recently uploaded Image:Toronto Public Library Logo.svg, replacing Image:Toronto Public Library logo.png. While your contribution is appreciated, SVG versions of copyrighted logos are discourage (see WP:NFC) because they don't have a restriction on size. In addition, it looks like you've traced it using a vector program, and the tracing is a bit off—you can see this especially on the letters U and B in "PUBLIC". Because of these issues, I'm going to revert the article Toronto Public Library to using the earlier PNG file (I'll upload a higher quality version too though) and tag the SVG file for speedy deletion (as it would be an orphaned fair use file). If you have an issue with this, let me know on my talk page and we can open this to a wider discussion.

Don't worry, this isn't anything personal—your contributions and efforts are definitely appreciated! Thanks, Mr. Absurd (talk) 06:20, 7 November 2008 (UTC)Reply
