Kshatriya edit

Hi. I have reverted your additions to Kshatriya, for two reasons. Some of your changes stated religious claims as facts, and Wikiped does not do that. Wikipedia is neutral regarding religions, and does not treat any one as factual. Also, your changes were not sourced. When you add new material to a Wikipedia article, it needs to be verifiable by readers (see WP:V), and that is achieved by providing citations to reliable sources (see WP:RS). The welcome message above contains a number of links intended to help new editors get started here. Boing! said Zebedee (talk) 08:35, 3 August 2020 (UTC)Reply

August 2020 edit

Please do not add or change content, as you did at Kurmi, without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. - Arjayay (talk) 08:45, 3 August 2020 (UTC)Reply

Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to add unsourced or poorly sourced content, as you did at Rawat (title), you may be blocked from editing.
Wikipedia is not interested in who you are, or what you "know" - only what has been stated in reliable sources, which must be cited - Arjayay (talk) 10:07, 3 August 2020 (UTC)Reply

Sources edit

Hi AmanRawat07, I notice you have made more additions of material to Wikipedia articles without providing any sources. As I tried to explain above when I notified you of my removal of your additions to Kshatriya, additions to Wikipedia articles *must* be cited to reliable sources. Wikipedia does not allow the addition of material that people say they *know* - you might be surprised how often different people who say they know something appear to know totally contradictory things. Anyway, if you continue to add material without sources, you might end up being blocked from editing - and I hate to see that happen to new contributors. You have mentioned Nima Seema Rawat and Dheka Rawat under the category of Kurmi. But they are the Rajput Kshtriyas from Rajasthan and Uttarakhand's Gharwal and Komaon regions. AmanRawat07 (talk) 13:25, 3 August 2020 (UTC)Reply

That should addressed by discussion at the article talk page, where you would need to provide reliable sources to support your desired changes. Boing! said Zebedee (talk) 13:41, 3 August 2020 (UTC)Reply

Ok, thanks for the information. I'll be back with relevant and reliable sources. AmanRawat07 (talk) 16:02, 3 August 2020 (UTC)Reply

Copying within Wikipedia requires attribution edit

Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you copied text from Princely state to Rawat (title) (your addition has since been removed). While you are welcome to re-use Wikipedia's content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing does require that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s). When copying within Wikipedia, this is supplied at minimum in an edit summary at the page into which you've copied content. It is good practice, especially if copying is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{copied}} template on the talk pages of the source and destination. If you have copied material between pages before, even if it was a long time ago, please provide attribution for that duplication. You can read more about the procedure and the reasons at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Thank you. — Diannaa (talk) 13:23, 1 December 2020 (UTC)Reply
