Right - well, there already are many pages like that in the Wikipedia mainspace, but sometimes users will have those kinds of things in their own userspace. It is rather redundant to post these instructions elsewhere, so would you like to create a dedicated subpage for it all? I have a link on my userpage to one of those myself. Guild of Copy Editors May 2011 backlog elimination drive report Greetings from the Guild of Copy Editors May 2011 Backlog elimination drive. Thank you for participating! Participation GOCE May 2011 backlog elimination drive progress graphs There were 63 signups for the drive; of these, 45 participated. Although we did not award a bonus for articles from the Requests page this drive, we are not experiencing lengthy delays in getting the articles processed. Many thanks to editors who have been helping out at the Requests page and by copy editing articles from the backlog. Progress report During the month of May we reduced the backlog by approximately 10%, and made remarkable progress on eliminating articles tagged from 2009. There are now only 15 articles left, down from the 415 that were present when the drive started. Since our backlog drives began in May 2010 with 8,323 articles, we have cleared more than 54% of the backlog. A complete list of results and barnstars awarded can be found here. Barnstars will be distributed over the next week. If you enjoyed participating in our event, you may also like to join the Wikification drives, which are held on alternate months to our drives. I can't stay logged in

Every time I log in, I am able to press one link (watchlist, random article) before I see the Log in/Create Account link at the top right. It once said I didn't have cookies enabled, but I'm using Chrome, and I do in fact have cookies allowed. Ideas? Even odder, if I open up the new link in a new tab, it will say I need to log in. However, on my first tab, I can still press refresh, and it will still show me as being logged in. I'm going offline and will be out tomorrow, but I'll try to check at least once before I leave for the day. Well, as long as you are the real Sehgal, there's nothing wrong with your username, but I do suggest that you read this page. I don't care as much, but some editors will be very upset if you edit an article about yourself. Just be careful to make sure that you don't appear to be promoting yourself, and use sources as much as possible - even if its just about your birthday. Also, feel free to have your daughters create their own accounts and edit the article. That's totally fine. I'm not sure what you mean by your last question. Could you say that again? Article and all references have been collected by help of my daughters,I am not a person to promote myself,the article has been written by my daughters to read other published articles about me.They have taken some parts from websites,ofcourse,they have also asked my opinion,mostly behind me they are active,but they have not much experience about wiki policy,even I too. I appreciate your editing in article,lot of thanks for this.In my last sentence, I meant that it is difficult for me to see those as a poet,who are actually not poet,but wiki article make them poet?. is'nt amazing?.I do'nt care,leave it. In references,there big and very important news papers in which my interviews are published,there are lot of things about me, my poetry and my back ground,they are authentic news papers in Pakistan,but that issuses can not be found online,that's why they are online website urdutoday. Kerowyn's drive log

Hi, Bailo26 (talk · contribs) has brought up a concern on my talk page (here) that certain editors may not be wikifying articles thoroughly. See my talk page post for edits and examples. In particular, Bailo26 mentioned Kerowyn (talk · contribs · count)'s edits. The user is at the top of the leaderboard and we need to make sure that users understand how thorough wikification should be. Do you mind checking through maybe every third edit by the user and marking any articles not fully wikified? That's about 40 articles. If you choose to do it, and you don't have to, just hide the link (e.g., <!-- *[[Article]] Please thoroughly wikify -->) and change the user's score (including the leaderboard one). Well, I looked through ten randomly (#5, #15, #25, etc.), and only found maybe two or three that I think could have been wikified further. Ahh, I see what you mean. Well, references 1, 3, 5 and 6 are all like that. What they do is give enough information that someone who wanted could find the articles for themselves. We can't actually link to the articles on Urdu Today because they are copyrighted, and I don't think Urdu Today has the copyright. Hey there; the reason I removed File:FSU Seminoles.svg from Florida State University was that not only did it not have a rationale for that usage but because I did not believe that its usage could be justified under the non-free content criteria.

I noticed you added a boilerplate fair-use rationale to the image; those rationales are considered just barely adequate for an image infobox use in the main article (in this case the Florida State Seminoles article). The specified Purpose of Use doesn't even make sense for an article sub-section in another article.

You'll also notice that if you check any of the copyrighted logos (basically those with a design beyond simply letters) of any of the other articles linked from Template:Atlantic Coast Conference, you'll see that none has a similar image usage to the one in question.

Is is possible

...to only move part of a page history? This has to do with my sandbox, and my failing to use the move function long ago as I should have. Yes (as already said) it is possible, but an admin has to do it and this task is not so easy because of WP:edit conflicts. Use instead {{underconstruction}} on the (original) page and then change what ever you want. mabdul 00:49, 14 July 2011 (UTC)

I don't really understand your follow-up mabdul. If it wasn't clear I was offering to make the edits, and I do find it easy since I do a lot of these types of edits. I really don't understand what you mean about edit conflicts. Nothing involved in doing this could ever involve an edit conflict (do you possibly mean overlapping edits upon a history merge?) Also, I assume the history will actually disappear from the page it is being moved from? (e/c) All done. The segregated edit history where you were working on SMAC is now at User:Nolelover/Sandbox/SMAC. The sandbox retains all of the edits that were not moved. Regarding the last part of your post, I'm not sure I understand. Let's be careful about the word "merge". I don't think you mean a merge but a another move of another segregated portion of the edit history. Once again point out the first and last edit you want moved to another sandbox and provide the name of the move target. Or if there actually is a merge involved, you have to tell me exactly what edits you want merged to what existing page.--Fuhghettaboutit (talk) 03:44, 14 July 2011 (UTC)

Well, one redirect you created looked like this:

REDIRECT # [[ WLTY ]]

However, the "#" needs to go right before the word "REDIRECT", like this:

#REDIRECT

Also, you don't need to have spaces in the links, so you can do it like this:

[[WLTY]]

Altogether, it should look like this:

#REDIRECT [[WLTY]]
