Mexican descent

Isn't it true that Chicano applies only to people whom parents are Mexican descent?AlverichA (talk) 23:09, 1 May 2019 (UTC)Reply

Please do not add commentary, your own point of view, or your own personal analysis to Wikipedia articles, as you did to Native Americans in the United States. Doing so violates Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy and breaches the formal tone expected in an encyclopedia. Thank you. Doug Weller talk 07:50, 2 May 2019 (UTC)Reply

Number of continents

edit

Different cultures have different definitions. Most of the world has 7, but Latin Americans and a few other countries count North and South America as one. As this is the English language Wikipedia, we say there are seven. Please stop these edits, besides being a violation of NPOV they are breaking links to other articles. Thanks.   Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion (but never when editing articles), please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:

  1. Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment, or
  2. With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button   located above the edit window.

This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.

Thank you. Doug Weller talk 16:56, 2 May 2019 (UTC)Reply

Please stop bothering me about the name America, ask at the tea house.

I've tried to explain above but you've ignored me. Doug Weller talk 16:56, 2 May 2019 (UTC)Reply

Hello, I'm Aboideau. I noticed that you recently removed content from Latino without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the removed content has been restored. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. aboideautalk 20:02, 2 May 2019 (UTC) Latino is not an English word the term Latin is not only related to Latin American countries but also to those countries whose main language derives from the Romance language for Example France, Italy, Portugal, etc. If you are speaking in English you can not use the word Latino, that's an Spanish word that means male Latin in English.--AlverichA (talk) 15:35, 4 May 2019 (UTC)Reply

We most certainly can use Latino in English. English has no language police. ←Baseball Bugs What's up, Doc? carrots16:01, 4 May 2019 (UTC) According to you the term Latino and Latin have the same meaning?----Reply

Welcome to Wikipedia. We appreciate your contributions, but in one of your recent edits to Latinx, it appears that you have added original research, which is against Wikipedia's policies. Original research refers to material—such as facts, allegations, ideas, and personal experiences—for which no reliable, published sources exist; it also encompasses combining published sources in a way to imply something that none of them explicitly say. Please be prepared to cite a reliable source for all of your contributions. Thank you. Ifnord (talk) 20:45, 2 May 2019 (UTC)Reply

  Please stop your disruptive editing.

If you continue to disrupt Wikipedia, you may be blocked from editing. MarnetteD|Talk 16:54, 3 May 2019 (UTC)Reply

America questions

edit

You've had a number of answers. If you keep up with this you will probably be blocked, so please find something else to do. Doug Weller talk 14:37, 4 May 2019 (UTC)Reply

Yeah! Regionalist answers that satisfies the natives of USA. USA is not AMERICA, USA is part of America, but you will disagree with that --AlverichA (talk) 15:23, 4 May 2019 (UTC)Reply
No, it's common usage that disagrees with you. ←Baseball Bugs What's up, Doc? carrots16:00, 4 May 2019 (UTC).Reply
It was named AMERICA not The Americas in honor of Amerigo Vespucci. AMERICA the continent, USA the country don't get confused. ----
You do understand that English language usage is allowed to differ from Spanish language usage, right? In English language usage there are two continents (North America and South America) and America is the short form name for the United States. This is common usage in all English speaking countries. --Khajidha (talk) 18:22, 4 May 2019 (UTC)Reply
