Hello, I'm Lapablo. I noticed that you made an edit concerning content related to a living (or recently deceased) person, but you didn't support your changes with a citation to a reliable source, so I removed it. Wikipedia has a very strict policy concerning how we write about living people, so please help us keep such articles accurate and clear. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you! Lapablo (talk) 20:14, 21 July 2019 (UTC)Reply

Transparency notice

edit

For the sake of transparency, I have given the following advice via IRC after receiving an explanation in #wikipedia-en-help.

I'll need to assume that you are saying the truth. If what you have said before is untrue, it will be noticed, and that won't be good.
If you are saying the truth, you are currently blocked because you have made edits that are similar (or identical) to a blocked user's contributions. You will need to explain that:
a) You are not the blocked person "Anthony Babafemi Raji"
b) You will not edit the article "Amaju Pinnick" directly again
c) Exactly what you have said here in the chat ((nonpublic quote removed))
if you fail to explain this properly, you won't be unblocked, so take your time to get this right.

Request reason:

My account alukoseyi is not a sock puppet and I would like to be unblocked, I am not the blocked person “ Anthony Babafemi Raji” I was helping Anthony Babafemi Raji to create his wikipedia page, I only have one account)which explained to User: TobeFree, Please I will not edit the article “Amaju Pinnick” directly again and please help me separate my account from Anthony Babafemi Raji wikipedia page.

Decline reason:

Normally, these instructions apply to vandals, but I'd like you to take the time to demonstrate to us that you can follow our policies.

This unblock request has been declined due to your history of vandalism and/or disruption to this encyclopedia. However, we are willing to give you another chance provided that you can earn back the trust of the Wikipedia community. To be unblocked you need to demonstrate that you are willing and able to contribute positively to Wikipedia. You can do this by:

  • Familiarizing yourself with our basic rules.
  • Read our guide to improving articles
  • Pick any pre-existing article you wish to improve.
  • If you have trouble choosing an article to improve, see this index of articles needing improvement for ideas. Once you have decided on the article you will propose improvements to:
    1. Click the Edit tab at the top of that article;
    2. Copy the portion of the prose from that article that you will be proposing changes to. However:
      • do not copy the "infobox" from the start of the article (i.e., markup like this: ...);
      • do not copy any image placement code (i.e., markup like this: );
      • do not copy the page's categories from the bottom of the page (i.e., markup like this: );
      • do not copy the stub tag (if there) from the bottom of the page (i.e., markup like this: Foo stub);
    3. Click edit at your talk page, and paste at the bottom under a new section header (like this: == Article title ==) the copied content but do not save yet;
    4. Place your cursor in the edit summary box and paste there an edit summary in the following form which specifies the name of the article you copied from and links to it (this is required for mandatory copyright attribution): "Copied content from exact Name of Article; see that article's history for attribution."
    5. You can now save the page. However, if your edits will include citations to reliable sources (which they should), add the following template to the end of your prose: reflist-talk. Once you have added the template, click Publish changes.
  • Now, edit that content. Propose significant and well researched improvements by editing the selected portion of the article. Please note that we are not looking for basic typo corrections, or small unreferenced additions; your edits should be substantial, and reflect relevant policies.
  • When you are done with your work, re-request unblocking and an administrator will review your proposed edits.
    • If we (including the original blocking admin) are convinced that your proposed edits will improve Wikipedia as an encyclopedia, you will be unblocked.
If you need help while working with your proposed edits, you may add "your question here ~~~~" to your talk page. Thank you. NinjaRobotPirate (talk) 19:10, 10 August 2019 (UTC)Reply

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the unblock template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

You have said you will not edit about Amaju Pinnick. Please describe what edits you would make.  Dlohcierekim (talk) 20:31, 24 July 2019 (UTC)Reply

No, please don't ask an admin for editing. Please address the issues I have raised here. You only need one unblock request at a time. Please modify one or the other.  Dlohcierekim (talk) 21:12, 24 July 2019 (UTC)Reply

I will like to edit Information Technology Area. Reliable sources that are relation to Wikipedia standard news paper local and online.

Edit warring is a behavior, typically exemplified by the use of confrontational edits to win a content dispute. It is different than a bold, revert, discuss (BRD) cycle and I promise I will never do that again , Administrator should please use this as a warning to me and unblock me , It will never happen again.

Request reason:

Dear Wikipedia Support Team,

I am writing to appeal the block that has been placed on my Wikipedia account. I understand that my actions may have violated some of the rules and guidelines of Wikipedia, and for that, I apologize.

I am a regular contributor to Wikipedia, and I am committed to maintaining the accuracy and quality of the information provided on the platform. I believe that my account has been unfairly blocked, and I would like to request a reconsideration of the block.

I assure you that I have reviewed the rules and guidelines of Wikipedia, and I am willing to abide by them. I will make sure to conduct myself in a manner that is respectful to other users and consistent with the standards of Wikipedia.

Please consider my appeal to unblock my account. I appreciate your time and attention to this matter.

Sincerely,

Alukoseyi mrsea 17:03, 11 May 2023 (UTC)

Decline reason:

Administrators are not a "support team". It seems like a bot wrote this request. You were offered a pathway forward above, are you declining it? You say you are a regular contributor, but you have been blocked for four years. This would mean you are evading your block. 331dot (talk) 01:21, 12 May 2023 (UTC)Reply
