You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Allured Business Media requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about an organization or company, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion," which appears inside of the speedy deletion ({{db-...}}) tag (if no such tag exists, the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate). Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 17:12, 17 June 2011 (UTC)Reply

Are you claiming not to be connected to this company? edit

Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia. However, the username you have chosen (Allured9) seems to imply that you are editing on behalf of a group, company or website.

There are two issues with this:

  1. It is possible that you have a conflict of interest. In keeping with Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy, you must exercise great caution when editing on topics related to your organization.
  2. Your account cannot represent a group of people. You may wish to create a new account with a username that represents only you. Alternatively, you may consider changing your username to avoid giving the impression that your personal account is being used for promotional purposes.

Regardless of whether you change your name or create a new account, you are not exempted from the guidelines concerning editing where you have a conflict of interest. For information on how to contribute to Wikipedia when you have a conflict of interest, please see our frequently asked questions for organizations. The article in question is Allured Business Media. Thank you. --Orange Mike | Talk 20:25, 17 June 2011 (UTC)Reply

I'm not claiming to not be affiliated with the company--it's my family's company which was started by my grandfather. I'm just changing my name at the suggestion of another admin. However, I have written a neutral article that contains facts about the company, its history, and its products. All I want to do is get the company a page so that anyone can add more information about it. Allured9 (talk) 21:12, 17 June 2011 (UTC)Reply

Thank you.

A tag has been placed on Allured Business Media, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article seems to be unambiguous advertising that only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the general criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item G11, as well as the guidelines on spam.

If you can indicate why the subject of this article is not blatant advertising,  . Clicking that button will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the the article's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. You may freely add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would help make it encyclopedic, as well as adding any citations from independent reliable sources to ensure that the article will be verifiable. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Intoronto1125TalkContributions 14:31, 20 June 2011 (UTC)Reply

Hi edit

Hi there, I just wanted to say a few things quickly. First, the new article doesn't look promotional to me, so I wouldn't delete it the way I did before. Second, the tone of the article isn't right, it's written like a story while encyclopedia articles are meant to be dry, completely devoid of anything that even comes close to purple prose. You might want to check out the examples at the bottom of WP:PSCOI for ideas on how to fix it. You'll also need better sourcing, which again the PSCOI guide has some good advice on. (The whole guide might be worth a read if you haven't yet.) Finally, you should know that your signature is still referencing your old username, so you might want to change it for a variety of reasons. -- Atama 04:04, 1 July 2011 (UTC)Reply
