You don't need to be a "big" expert to contribute. I get lots of ideas from books and magazines I read, or from things people link to from Twitter. Since Wikipedia summarizes what "reliable sources" say, it is much better to get your facts from such sources, in my opinion. Using a map is like riding a bike, something you learn with practice. I suggest practicing with a walking map, and a compass to help you line up the top of the map with the direction you are facing. Then use the map to navigate where you are walking. Learning mental rotation will also help. Good luck. HouseOfChange (talk) 15:15, 23 January 2022 (UTC)

Numbers on the big interstate highways give a general idea of north-south vs east-west. But there are, as the article says, "numerous exceptions."
