Hello, Alliemunts, and welcome to Wikipedia! My name is Ian and I work with Wiki Education; I help support students who are editing as part of a class assignment.

I hope you enjoy editing here. If you haven't already done so, please check out the student training library, which introduces you to editing and Wikipedia's core principles. Partial reversion of edit to Allelopathy edit

Hi Alliemunts, Welcome to Wikipedia and thank you for your contribution to the allelopathy page. I wanted to let you know that I partially reverted the your edit because you cited a retracted paper (Bais 2002) -- though it is far more difficult than it should be to find any reference to the retraction on the Plant Physiology website. Obviously retracted papers are not an appropriate source for Wikipedia (see WP:Reliable_sources). I would also point you to the last paragraph of the History section where the controversy over the role of catechin is already covered in considerable detail. Feel free to keep contributing to the page, but make sure to double check your sources! beanstash (talk) 01:27, 1 May 2022 (UTC)Reply
