Copy editor wanted (no time pressure or deadlines active)
Hi there, Allens. How's it going? Hope you're doing well and your students don't drive you crazy :) I remember you were interested in copy editing the fluorine article. Well, I think I'm done with the content changes, there are only minor ref style issues remain, on which I'm working now, so think I could reserve you as a potential copy editor. There's no near deadline. That means, if you are still interested in doing it when you are free, just say that, so I'll have it in mind. It's an interesting article (Another editor did about half the work on it, if not more), even though big. I am satisfied with it. Much has been done. The diner's ready, it's only for us to serve it. GOCE September 2012 drive wrap-up
Guild of Copy Editors September 2012 backlog elimination drive wrap-up
 Participation: Out of 41 people who signed up this drive, 28 copy-edited at least one article. Thanks to all who participated! Final results, including barnstars awarded, are available here. Progress report: We achieved our primary goal of clearing July, August, September and October 2011 from the backlog. This means that, for the first time since the drives began, the backlog is less than a year. At least 677 tagged articles were copy edited, although 365 new ones were added during the month. The total backlog at the end of the month was 2341 articles, down from 8323 when we started out over two years ago. We completed all 54 requests outstanding before September 2012 as well as eight of those made in September. Copy Edit of the Month: Voting is now over for the August 2012 competition, and prizes will be issued soon. The September 2012 contest is closed for submissions and open for voting. The October 2012 contest is now open for submissions. Everyone is welcome to submit entries and to vote. – Your drive coordinators: Stfg, Allens, and Torchiest. Followup RFC to WP:RFC/AAT now in community feedback phase
Hello. As a participant in Wikipedia:Requests for comment/Abortion article titles, you may wish to register an opinion on its followup RFC, Wikipedia:Requests for comment/Abortion advocacy movement coverage, which is now in its community feedback phase. Please note that WP:RFC/AAMC is not simply a repeat of WP:RFC/AAT, and is attempting to achieve better results by asking a more narrowly-focused, policy-based question of the community. Assumptions based on the previous RFC should be discarded before participation, particularly the assumption that Wikipedia has or inherently needs to have articles covering generalized perspective on each side of abortion advocacy, and that what we are trying to do is come up with labels for that.
