Józef Hofmann edit

Thanks for beefing up the Hofmann page. I'm noticing that in some of the references you've added blank tags. Best to provide a full reference, or someone might remove the information. If you have any questions, feel free to leave a message on my talk page. Cheers!THD3 (talk) 12:55, 27 October 2009 (UTC)Reply

OOPS. That was ME! My bad. I have corrected the citation requests.THD3 (talk) 15:32, 27 October 2009 (UTC)Reply

Instead of stating that liner notes or a specific book states something, it's best to add the source as an inline citation. If you need help with that, let me know.THD3 (talk) 16:48, 27 October 2009 (UTC)Reply

Wow. I'm really impressed with your diligence in improving this page. If I may suggest: there are several red wikilinks, meaning there is no corresponsing article on that person in Wikipedia. I've already removed several of the links. In the list of Hofmann's pupils, there were a number of links, and I must say that those without articles are probably not noteworthy enough to be mentioned as his pupils -- except perhaps, Nadia Reisenberg, and I'm astonished there is no Wiki article on her. A worthy project might be to write articles on Reisenberg and Ward Marston.THD3 (talk) 19:06, 27 October 2009 (UTC)Reply

Thanks. I made the changes and have revised the article to keep it as objective as I could.

Great work on the Hofmann page. If I may suggest, when offering an inline citation, you do not need to add the work "see" before the ref. Just the ref will do.

Rumor has it piano authority Gregor Benko is completing his long-awaited bio of Hofmann. I look forward to seeing if any information from that can be referenced for this article. CheersTHD3 (talk) 18:15, 17 December 2009 (UTC)Reply

Reference to Oscar Levant on Hofmann edit

Pl send me the full text for comments on Josef Hofmann that you mention on the "Discussion" page of the Josef Hofmann wiki article. Thanks! 06:45, 24 December 2009 (UTC) —Preceding unsigned comment added by Alextierno98 (talkcontribs)

The relevant passages are quoted there; I could turn up the book again, but not instantly. What exactly do you need? Would it be useful if I emailed you photocopies of the pages where the passages appear? - Jmabel | Talk 07:14, 24 December 2009 (UTC)Reply

Found the book, photographed the cover & relevant page. Drop me an email using the "email this user" feature of Wikipedia. That will give me your email address, and I can send you the pictures. - Jmabel | Talk 20:57, 24 December 2009 (UTC)Reply

You never acknowledged receipt, but unless I hear otherwise, I'll assume you got what you need. - Jmabel | Talk 17:33, 28 December 2009 (UTC)Reply

ArbCom elections are now open! edit

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
