Alexius, thanks, but please follow your own request first, before making such a request. I am doing basic edits. DenizTC 23:40, 11 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

Anyway, I was not talking about the massacres section when I said 'basic edits'. Please do not just create empty sections, create them later when you plan to fill them. Also the numberings are changed, the section after that section is not a subsection of the one before the empty section, please pay attention to such things. I am going to do some more of my 'basic edits'. They will be mostly removing some conjunction words that create OR. DenizTC 23:55, 11 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

NikoSilver 21:54, 29 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

Greeks, Greek Cypriots, and their friends will be demonstrating outside the Turkish Embassy in Washington DC to demand that Turkey's brutal thirty-three years of Turkish military invasion with use of napalm and American-made bombs, aircraft and weapons that began on July 20, 1974, end now. NO JUSTICE! NO PEACE! We call for FULL REMOVAL of ALL Turkish soldiers from Cyprus.

The Turkish Government is one of the most repressive regimes in the world, Greeks, as well as Armenians and Assyrians are denied basic human rights, including the right to freedom of expression and freedom of religion. Following the early Twentieth Century Crime of Genocide Against Greeks and Armenians, the Turkish State has continued its genocidal policies by targeting Kurdish civilians and villages, denying Greek and Armenian and Assyrian Genocide, and thoroughly eradicating the Greeks from Cyprus.

Blocked edit

I have blocked you for the latest revert you made on Greco-Turkish War (1919-1922) [1], which you made without initiating a discussion first and waiting out its results, thereby violating Moreschi's rules of cooperative editing, as described in Talk:Greco-Turkish War (1919-1922)#New rules for this article. Fut.Perf. 17:31, 20 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

I found the statements written not only to be incorrect, but particularly insulting and offensive to Orthodox Christianity (imagine is similar statements were made about Islam-- the sources could easily be found.)

I thought that there was a 1RR rule, and I only reverted one time... I do not really think that this is fair especially given the fact that I reverted an edit by Laertes, who has been blocked numerous times for his behavior.

For how long does my block last AlexiusComnenus 21:19, 20 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

The block is 24h (sorry for not pointing this out; BTW you can find this out yourself by clicking on your contributions history and then at the top of that on the "block log" link.) As for the block being fair or not, I think the rules given by Moreschi were quite clear on this point. And as for this particular edit being "insulting", it's certainly not more insulting than various things you and others have introduced into various articles about Turks at times. Your opinion expressed in your edit summary that "A historian is not qualified to make statements regarding a religion," is blatant nonsense (quotes from reliable sources written by historians are exactly what we need, per WP:V). And most importantly, even if Laertes' edit was however unacceptable, this is just the point of the rules: stop the edit war, don't simply revert. - For the record, I'm by no means convinced Laertes' edit was good by any standards; while the source as such is suitable, the way he dumped it into the text with no critical distance certainly was not. But this is the point: discuss it, in a constructive atmosphere. Fut.Perf. 07:34, 21 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

Greco-Italian War edit

Hello Alexius. As you have seen, I am engaged in a hopeless battle with Eteturk about this fabulous "Ottoman mentality". He won't let go of this, that's for sure. I am resorting to WP:RFC, as I am losing my patience... Μα την πίστη μου, το άτομο είναι πολύ κολλημένο, και λίγο θέλει να αρχίσω να τον βρίζω... Please add your comment so that we can end this stupid story and get on with our lives... Regards, Cplakidas 17:07, 23 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
