Email forwarding

Hi Ale

Thanks for your notes on Email forwarding. This whole area confuses me not a little as a user (I have little experience of the internals), so it seems like we need to clarify things. Re filters, I think of clients like Thunderbird and Eudora, which as I understand it function on the client. The other cases relate to Unix-style ~/.forward files, which exist definitely in userspace and achieve forwarding -- but whether as the local user or as the local sendmail daemon -- I know not.

I find your English excellent: I haven't "amended" as much as edited for style -- a personal thing.

Domain name system

Hi. "Return-Path" is a header added by many delivery agents with the contents of the envelope from. Doesn't SPF operate on the envelope from, not on the nonstandard Return-Path? jhawkinson (talk) 14:51, 23 February 2008 (UTC)

Yes, you're quite right, 2821 (and 821) did clearly standardize Return-Path. I'm not sure why I thought it was simply an implementation convention and not a standard, but I was definitely wrong. Sorry about that. jhawkinson (talk) 18:40, 2 April 2008 (UTC)

Liouville number

Hi! First of all, sorry for my English. Now, why $L=\bigcap \limits _{n=1}^{\infty }U_{n}\setminus {\mathbb {Q} }$ is G-delta? Let $A=\bigcap \limits _{n=1}^{\infty }U_{n}$; Q is an F-sigma set so Q^c is G-delta and $A\setminus Q=A\cap Q^{c}$ is G-delta as an intersection of two G-delta sets. Hi! By Meagre set#Definition we have that L is comeagre so L_c must be meagre. Am I wrong? It is possible, I might have confused definitions. If I am not wrong maybe this phrase from the article confuses you: "...and it follows that is a dense G-delta set, since its complement is a meagre set" - if so, it should be rephrased. Hi, I'm afraid I've trimmed this disambiguation page quite radically - on the style guideline for disambiguation pages, it says "On a page called Title, do not create entries merely because Title is part of the name (see Wikipedia:Disambiguation#Partial title matches)." It's still ok to have the page as there are a couple of entries that refer to things called, simply, Stockade, but I've removed most of the other entries. --BelovedFreak 10:20, 22 June 2011 (UTC)

As reviewing administrator, I of course removed he speedy tag; the ed. who placed it apparently either did not realize there was a p. in the deWP, or did not bother to check it, nor use some common sense either. But really, it would have been far better to translate over a little more of it. At the least, I sometimes just copy over the references, even without translation. It's the best protection against people making such errors. If you're not going to do more let me know, because ass you know he's a famous person, & I will do it. Hi Ale,

Just a heads up that I have nominated Learning Disabilities Association for speedy deletion. This is my first time doing this, so I apologize if I am off base. However, the introduction to the stub reads like a promotion for the organization. More importantly, the history section is a verbatim copy-paste from their History page, under About Us. Given LDA's size and long history, I would imagine that a proper full page could be written for it. Unfortunately it would require a full rewrite, which I don't have the time for.

@Chippy87: By the time I came to see, the page was deleted already. Yes, it was a stub. I inserted it in 1916 when I edited Digital Millennium Copyright Act#Section 1201 Study. LDA posted a comment, so it seemed to make sense for an encyclopedia to be able to tell who they are. Their comment seemed to be valid. However, in fact, just like for the LDA stub, nobody continued the description of what happened in subsequent years. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. Hm... I uploaded that file on 22 February 2017. However, I didn't find any other occurrence of the term cacert in my contributions. Meanwhile, Debian stopped distributing Cacert certificates, and I myself switched to Let's Encrypt. I don't think it's worth creating a Cacert page now. I'll let the logo be deleted...
