Image (110 film)

Hi again, I noticed you tried to add an image to this article. As far as I'm aware, it's not possible to directly include externally-hosted images (from other sites) on Wikipedia, which is why it didn't work. (There are probably reasons for this to do with hotlinking, relying on other sites, and copyright issues but let's not get bogged down with that here.)

If you have permission to use the image under a Wikipedia-compatible license, please upload it and include it that way.

The reason I emphasised the license thing is that we can't simply copy other people's copyrighted images. It's also impossible to accept arbitrary licenses (e.g. "you can freely use this for non-commercial use") because (a) the license has to permit the uses to which Wikipedia is intended, which includes commercial use and (b) Keeping track of countless informal/semi-formal licenses and permissions would make redistribution of Wikipedia unworkable. If you did not create this file yourself, then you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, then their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. RE: Recent edit to Red Tails

Hi Albyvana, just a courtesy notice and explanation why I reverted your recent edit to Red Tails. Basically its because the 99th FS was not the only African-American fighter squadron known as the Tuskegee Airmen. They were a part of the 332nd Fighter Group (along with the 100th FS and another one or two I think). Further, there were some guys that trained in B-25s also considered Tuskegee Airmen though never flew any bombing missions. If you can find a proper reference somewhere that Red Tails is specifically about the 99th, then by all means add that info back in, perhps with some rewording for clarification. If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

• make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
• Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license.
