Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Titus Books (publisher), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Ben Webb. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Grapefruit article

edit

Hello, thanks for writing this article! I’ve just read it and I’m a bit concerned that it has no citations except to the company's website. That worries me since without proof that this topic is notable, meaning covered enough in media to get a Wikipedia article on it, the article may get deleted.

Are there any reliable sources on the topic that you can add? If so just edit the article and add citations using the cite tool, or if you have any thoughts or questions just let me know. Blythwood (talk) 23:50, 25 April 2016 (UTC)Reply

ArbCom Elections 2016: Voting now open!

edit

Hello, Albinoni67. Voting in the 2016 Arbitration Committee elections is open from Monday, 00:00, 21 November through Sunday, 23:59, 4 December to all unblocked users who have registered an account before Wednesday, 00:00, 28 October 2016 and have made at least 150 mainspace edits before Sunday, 00:00, 1 November 2016.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2016 election, please review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 22:08, 21 November 2016 (UTC)Reply

Template:Requested move is not for moves from draft or user space.
If you would like to submit your draft for review, add {{subst:submit}}to the top of the page.
Otherwise, see Help:How to move a page for instructions.
If you cannot move it yourself, see Requesting technical moves.

Draft:Simon Ogston. It seems this draft has been lingering. I've added some categories and it looks good to go.

Your recent article submission has been rejected. If you have further questions, you can ask at the Articles for creation help desk or use Wikipedia's real-time chat help. The reason left by Scope creep was: This topic is not sufficiently notable for inclusion in Wikipedia. The comment the reviewer left was: Most of the coverage is of the band, and what is there is mainly profiles. He is not standalone notable.

Thank you for the message. I'm very sorry if my conception of Wikipedia differs in some basic way from that of Wikipedia's editors. I thought I had provided "published, reliable, secondary sources that are independent of the subject". which included information, notes and references which indicated he was (and remains posthumously) a significant identity in New Zealand literary, publishing, printing and pacifist history. I can only hope there has been some mistake. There are surely more articles of "published, reliable, secondary sources that are independent of the subject (see the guidelines on the notability of people)" and I shall cast the net wider among academic fraternities and sororities, but frankly, I am quite astounded by this decision. Albinoni67 (talk) 19:42, 3 November 2022 (UTC)Reply
Hi Albinoni67, you are welcome to resubmit the draft for another review but I highly suggest posting a note on the draft's talk page with the three sources you believe establishes notability (see WP:THREE and WP:42 for guidance). If you do that, please post a note on my talk page and I will add an AfC comment instructing the next reviewer to look at the talk page. In addition, since you are autoconfirmed, you do not need to go through AfC so if you believe Gorman is notable and the sources provided are sufficient you can move the draft to mainspace which will be reviewed by a WP:NPP reviewer. Thank you for the advice. Will certainly follow up when time permits. Best regards. 124.197.62.117 (talk) 20:23, 3 November 2022 (UTC)Reply
