editPlease do not add commentary or your own personal analysis to Wikipedia articles, as you did to Avril Lavigne. Doing so violates Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy and breaches the formal tone expected in an encyclopedia. Thank you. Gwernol 02:42, 17 May 2008 (UTC)

editWelcome to Wikipedia. We invite everyone to contribute constructively to our encyclopedia. Take a look at the welcome page if you would like to learn more about contributing. However, unconstructive edits, such as those you made to HIM (Finnish band), are considered vandalism and are immediately reverted. If you continue in this manner you may be blocked from editing without further warning. Please stop, and consider improving rather than damaging the work of others. Regarding your comments on User talk:AngelOfSadness: Please see Wikipedia's no personal attacks policy. Comment on content, not on contributors. Personal attacks damage the community and deter users. Note that continued personal attacks will lead to blocks for disruption. Please stay cool and keep this in mind while editing. Thank you. AngelOfSadness talk 14:29, 7 June 2008 (UTC)
Avril Lavigne
editHi there Albertrocker, I've reverted your edit to the Avril Lavigne article as it removed several items from the instruments and occupations list and broke a citation. If you disagree with this, please discuss at the talk page. Many thanks. D0762 (talk) 14:55, 7 June 2008 (UTC)

editHi there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. If you can't type the tilde character, you should click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you! --SineBot (talk) 20:16, 7 June 2008 (UTC)
This is the last warning you will receive for your disruptive edits, such as the one you made to Talk:Main Page. If you vandalize Wikipedia again, you will be blocked from editing. Gwernol 20:20, 7 June 2008 (UTC)
Please do not use talk pages such as Talk:Panic at the Disco for general discussion of the topic. They are for discussion related to improving the article. They are not to be used as a forum or chat room. See here for more information. Thank you. —slakr\ talk / 22:48, 14 June 2008 (UTC)

Welcome to Wikipedia
editHello, I noticed your impassioned response to the question of David Byrne's citizenship. While you made a good choice in choosing the talk page to discuss your concerns on the articles, please remember that we can catch more bees with honey than we can with vinegar. In other words, capitalized letters in words appear as if someone is SHOUTING at someone else. Whether or not your opinion is correct, the usual outcome is often a negative response from the other editors whom you are endeavoring to convince. It is also close to violating Wikipedia policy, as we are asked to treat one another with respect and to be polite. Try next time to back up your point of view with a reliable reference. Thanks. --leahtwosaints (talk) 17:38, 30 June 2009 (UTC)
