Multiple drafts edit
Hi, why did you create and submit Draft:Hamburger Arroganz, given that you knew that an earlier draft Draft:Hamburger Arroganz (First German Rap and Hip Hop Band) on the same topic existed already? Please don't create multiple drafts on the same subject, this creates all sorts of problems.
BTW, what is your relationship with this band? Thanks, -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 08:58, 2 February 2024 (UTC)
- Dear User DoubleGrazing,
- Good morning (at least in Europe)!
- I hope you have been doing very well!
- My relationship with this band is that my partner's father is a member of this band, Thomas Marx, and I live with them so therefore, I want to let you know that the source I have is completely reliable since this band was popular in Germany before the German reunification. I can provide with other things like legal documentations of him if you want and that is what this encyclopedia requires me to do so.
- Kind regards,
- Albert Albertb0513 (talk) 09:05, 2 February 2024 (UTC)
- Okay, that didn't answer my question why did you create a second draft on this subject, but thanks for explaining your relationship with it. You will need to make a conflict-of-interest (COI) disclosure, as you have a connection with the subject you're editing about. I will post a separate message below with more details. Best, -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 10:17, 2 February 2024 (UTC)
Managing a conflict of interest edit
Hello, Albertb0513. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:
- avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, colleagues, company, organization, clients, or competitors;
- propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the {{edit COI}} template);
- disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see Wikipedia:Conflict of interest § How to disclose a COI);
- avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam § External link spamming);
- do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.
In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.
