There have been two problems identified with this account: the account has been used for advertising or promotion, which is contrary to the purpose of Wikipedia, and your username indicates that the account represents a business or other organisation or group, which is also against policy, as an account must be for just one person. Because of those problems, the account has been blocked indefinitely from editing.

If you intend to make useful contributions about some topic other than your business or organisation, you may request an unblock. To do so, post the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with a new username you are willing to use. See Special:CentralAuth to search for available usernames. Your new username will need to meet our username policy. Replace the text "Your reason here" with your reason to be unblocked. In this reason, you must:

  • Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the kind of edits for which you were blocked.
  • Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked.
If you believe this block was made in error, you may appeal this block by adding the text {{unblock|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page, but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first. Alexf(talk) 14:34, 14 February 2017 (UTC)Reply

Requested username:

Request reason:

I am a graduate student who studies marketing and wanted to create a page that teaches others what a masters in marketing is. I realize I was blocked because I used an account name that was too close to the topic, rather than my real name. If unblocked, I will continue to edit pages and add a chart to the page I started on marketing that lists out all the masters in marketing programs in the US and Canada to help other students like me learn about a masters in marketing. This page is not meant to advertise for a specific university, just the area of study in general

Accept reason:

Rename has been carried out and unblock agreement received from blocking admin. I have cleaned up the article. Please add reliable sources from professional bodies and magazines not from course providers. See WP:GNG, WP:RS and WP:FIRST. Just Chilling (talk) 23:27, 8 March 2017 (UTC)Reply

March 2017 edit

Please do not add or change content, as you did at Master of Science in Marketing, without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. Please note also that as well as being completely unsourced, the list of schools you added is US-centric. Wikipedia is an international encyclopedia and so articles should take a global perspective.
