Don't template the regulars. Just because the account is an anonymous address, doesn't mean they're not a regular editor. Who then was a gentleman? (talk) 04:17, 5 October 2009 (UTC)

Why was i warned? I didn't vandalize anything like you said I did. Shlarble (talk) 23:29, 6 October 2009 (UTC)

Don't worry, I'm not trolling. This is a shared computer so I must have stayed logged in by accident. Shlarble (talk) 01:47, 7 October 2009 (UTC)

Removal of PROD from Jason Henry

A couple problems with this one: 1) There is no Fair use Rationale see Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline for details. 2) No specific source - which programme, date, who took the screenshot, etc. 3) It's being used in an infobox with no specific commentary made about the image itself - which some would argue puts it right into the replacable-fair-use category. Pros... The article isn't overusing non-free images; it does appear to be quite different from the main infobox picture, thus "unique" to some level. The best place to list these for additional comment is Wikipedia:Non-free content review. If it's something blatant, you can list it at Wikipedia:Possibly unfree files Skier Dude (talk) 06:33, 9 October 2009 (UTC)

Thanks, I put it up at WP:NFR. I was wondering though, how does one best handle situations like this? Should I first CSD F6/F7 (and see how the uploader/other people respond) or NFR, and when does one go to FFD? I'm asking since with File:Shamrock UFC 8 title copy.jpg I took it directly to FFD yesterday after an IP (most likely the uploader) removed the CSD without comment and I assumed that would be the best place for people to chime in on whether it actually meets the criteria or not since if it didn't it would be deleted. --aktsu (t / c) 07:19, 9 October 2009 (UTC)
IMHO - F6/F7 are for the pretty blatant instances where you're not likely going to need/get feedback. The next 'level' are those that are ones that you'd like more than one or two people to make a comment on - FFD is the place for those. The ones where you end up just scratching your head going ?? :-o? - not necessarily leading to deletion but for clarification, NFR. There's some overlap in the first two because there's some variations in judgment, but no one will "bite" for listing in the wrong forum. Skier Dude (talk) 07:31, 9 October 2009 (UTC)

Gogoplata query

Elvis Sinosic - October 9th 2009 - Regarding Gogoplata. I'm not sure if this where I am supposed to reply. That match occurred in RINGS Japan on October 14th 1997. The earliest recorded instance of the Gogoplata in MMA after this date was Aoki in 2006. I am not aware of anyone else doing it prior to Aoki other than myself. This video pre-dates that by 9 years. I am not aware of anything prior to my match. It should be noted that this was RINGS rules which is a form of MMA as MMA was still developing in different organisations which had different rules. Rings had two types of rules. RINGS rules was open hand striking and no striking on the ground. Though not full MMA as we know it today (and hence why not on my record) it is generally considered a form of MMA which eventually evolved in MMA as we know it (RINGS King of Kings tournament came from this and many great fighters such as Fedor, Minotauro, Babalu, Henderson and more fought in these events).

It should also be noted that RINGS folded in 2002. So even if I lied about the date (which I didn't) it would still have occurred atleast 4 years prior to Shinya Aoki Gogoplata which occurred in 2006. I'm not sure how else other than providing the video footage to prove this. Here are some links to help... http://sfuk.tripod.com/interviews_01/elvis_interview1.html an old interview that notes I fougth Tamura http://www.elvissinosic.com/stats.htm My stats page which includes the dates of my old matches http://www.bekkoame.ne.jp/~bryann/rumore-e978-9.html Online results from match

Look I'm happy to reword to something as MMA-Style Match (RINGS rules). I don't want to cause any problems. Saying that as well I don't mind contacting Sherdog and looking at have them re-update their records. To be honest, even I had forgotten that I had done (it was so long ago). It wasn't til I started converting my VHS to DVD and rewatching the footage that it all came flooding back. Just looking for recognition for what I've achieved. :)

Why did the bot remove the image? Is there something I forgot to do? Or do they not allow images in the content? (ElvisSinosic (talk) 03:52, 10 October 2009 (UTC))

Edwin D. Cruz Imaginary MMA Fighter and Vandalism??

This person has vandalized several MMA pages. If you look at this person's page, they appear to be imaginary. There are several links used as references that are either dead links or have nothing to do with Edwin D. Cruz. I figure you know better than I what to do about this. --Qwertasdfgzx (talk) 19:23, 12 October 2009 (UTC)

Wrong Doug Evans

I was wondering if you could take a look here, just something small I noticed that I'm not sure how to correct: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:Tiki_Ghosn -- It happends on multiple pages, such as Josh Thomson, and Thomas Denny, as well.. Thanks in advance (pinchet (talk) 13:49, 21 October 2009 (UTC))

UFC 107 poster

You seem to be my go to guy :P I hope you don't mind.. Anyways, I uploaded a new version of the ufc 107 poster because this one is the actual one for the event, the other didn't have the sponsors ect on the bottom.. You can see here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Ufc107poster.jpg but on the actual UFC 107 page it doesn't show the new picture. Any ideas why? TIA (pinchet (talk) 11:47, 23 October 2009 (UTC))
