Weight class notability/Edit warring

I was wondering if you could provide a third opinion on the MMA weight class pages (example: Lightweight (MMA)) I already started a topic at the MMA WikiProject page requesting input but Johnashlight and I have been going back and forth on the notability of several fighters he wishes to include on the Lightweight & Featherweight pages, also several of the fighters he wishes to include are already listed under the weights at which they fight however as they are Shooto fighters and Shooto for example calls 143lb fighters "Lightweight's" he wishes to list them at both there actual weights and the weight which Shooto names them. Which I believe to be unnecessarily confusing. --Phospheros (talk) 07:03, 9 November 2009 (UTC)

Followup question, do you think a list of notable fighters even belongs on the weight class pages as the list will by its very nature be subjective. --Phospheros (talk) 09:36, 9 November 2009 (UTC)
Hmm, the lists are pretty useful IMO but I'm having a hard time coming up with a general guideline for who to include... I'd say that as long as they aren't getting totally out of hand I don't think it's really necessary to come up with one though as things can be handled on a case-by-case basis. As for Shooto's weightclasses, I can't really say I see a clear solution there either as on one side it's useful to have lists containing people at the same weight, but on the other the articles are named Xweight so when you look them up you would expect people actually in that division, weight notwithstanding. --aktsu (t / c) 20:41, 11 November 2009 (UTC)
