Minor edits edit

Thank you for your contributions. Please mark your edits, such as your recent edits to T. S. Nandakumar, as "minor" only if they are minor edits. In accordance with Help:Minor edit, a minor edit is one that the editor believes requires no review and could never be the subject of a dispute. Minor edits consist of things such as typographical corrections, formatting changes or rearrangement of text without modification of content. Additionally, the reversion of clear-cut vandalism and test edits may be labeled "minor". Thank you. 220 of Borg 01:51, 6 December 2014 (UTC)Reply

Edit summaries edit

Hi there.

When editing Wikipedia, there is a field labeled "Edit summary" below the main edit box. It looks like this:

Edit summary (Briefly describe your changes)

The text written here will appear on the Recent changes page, in the page revision history, on the diff page, and in the watchlists of users who are watching that article. See m:Help:Edit summary for full information on this feature.

Filling in the edit summary field greatly helps your fellow contributors in understanding what you changed, so please always fill in the edit summary field. If you are adding a section, please do not just keep the previous section's header in the Edit summary field – please fill in your new section's name instead. Thank you.--220 of Borg 01:53, 6 December 2014 (UTC)Reply

Article 'ownership' edit

Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to Wikipedia. However, please remember that editors do not own articles and should respect the work of their fellow contributors on T. S. Nandakumar. If you create or edit an article, remember that others are free to change its content. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia.
You are returning the page to a version where it has numerous wp:Manual of style, grammatical, punctuation and some linking errors. Kerela for example is in Mali Africa, not India! Please desist! Text such as "revered in every household that carries music in its heart and soul" is totally un-encyclopaedic and should not be on the page, unless it is a reliably sourced quote from somebody. This is what is meant by wp:peacock.

 * Please note that I have reverted here most of your above edit, here, and some intervening edits, but have kept your edits that I believe are constructive. Please also note that we do not link every occurrence of a linkable term i.e. mridangam, nor is the name capitalised in the text. We also usually don't have a 'See also' section that is only articles that are already linked (in this case more than once) in the body text and the infobox. Removing valid maintenance templates edit

Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but your recent edit removed maintenance templates from T. S. Nandakumar. When removing maintenance templates, please be sure to either resolve the problem that the template refers to, or give a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry, as your removal of this template has been reverted. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia, and if you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Edit summaries №2 edit

Hi there! Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia.

I noticed your recent edit to T. S. Nandakumar does not have an edit summary. Please be sure to provide a summary of every edit you make, even if you write only the briefest of summaries. The summaries are very helpful to people browsing an article's history.

Edit summary content is visible in:

Please use the edit summary to explain your reasoning for the edit, or a summary of what the edit changes. Thanks! 220 of Borg 05:39, 6 December 2014 (UTC)Reply

Editing while logged out? edit

Hello, I noticed that you may have recently made edits to T. S. Nandakumar while logged out. Making edits while logged out reveals your IP address, which may allow others to determine your location and identity. Wikipedia's policy on multiple accounts usually does not allow the use of more than one account or IP address by one person. If this was not your intention, then please always remember to log in when editing. You also may have been logged out when you edited Mridangam. 220 of Borg 06:54, 6 December 2014 (UTC)Reply

Signing edit

Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion (but never when editing articles), such as at User talk:220 of Borg, please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:

  1. Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment; or
  2. With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button (  or  ) located above the edit window.

This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.

Thank you. 220 of Borg 09:59, 6 December 2014 (UTC)Reply
