Welcome!

Hello, Akarlin, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, one or more of the pages you created, like Akarlin/gfc, may not conform to some of Wikipedia's guidelines for page creation, and may soon be deleted (if it hasn't already).

Subpage

edit

I changed the link on your user page to link to a subpage in your user space. Feel free to experiment there or on the Wikipedia:Sandbox. However, please do not add information from websites unless that information is provided under a free licence. The text from most websites, including that of your company, is copyrighted and may not be used on Wikipedia unless released under the GFDL (see Copyright below). Let me know if you have any further questions or there's anything I can help you with (you can ask them on your talk page below this comment.) Again, welcome! Wikipedia is not intuitive.... I'm freaking out. I need to get this biography up for my comapny's CEO asap... can I have help??—Preceding unsigned comment added by akarlin (talkcontribs)

First, I moved an article from Akarlin/SubPageGFC to User:Akarlin/SubPageGFC so it could be in your user subspace. Seems the article isn't entirely ready for primetime. Second: since it's your company's CEO that you're writing about, this article could be seen as a conflict of interest. Please be very careful when creating that article. And third, please remember that your article must hold up to Wiki's biography of living persons criteria. The guidelines there are rather strict and are heavily contested here, so it's better to err on the side of caution. Best of luck in your edits. — HelloAnnyong (say whaaat?!) 19:06, 12 February 2009 (UTC)Reply

Thank you very much.... —Preceding unsigned comment added by akarlin (talkcontribs)

The page is looking pretty good, as far as layout is concerned. Is there something in particular that you need help with? Also, I noticed you now have two pages; would you like to have the older one deleted? Finally, please rewrite the content in your own words. We cannot accept text taken from other websites. You are a super star... I'm using this page for right now because it was linked on my user group, is that okay? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:Akarlin/GFC

I am definetly going to rewrite this to ensure it sounds more biographical and not from the website. Thanks again sooo much for you help —Preceding unsigned comment added by Akarlin (talkcontribs)

Yeah, that sounds fine. You're welcome. (EhJJ)TALK 20:37, 12 February 2009 (UTC)Reply
