Welcome edit

Hello, Akaashh Galaxy, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, one or more of your edits to the page Prostitution in Kolkata have not conformed to Wikipedia's verifiability policy, and may be removed if they have not yet been. Wikipedia articles should refer only to facts and interpretations that have been stated in print or on reputable websites or other forms of media. Always remember to provide a reliable source for quotations and for any material that is likely to be challenged, or it may be removed. Wikipedia also has a related policy against including original research in articles. As well, all new biographies of living people must contain at least one reliable source.

If you are stuck and looking for help, please see the guide for citing sources or come to the new contributors' help page, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Here are a few other good links for newcomers:

  • I have reverted your edits from the article, because those were unsourced. Encyclopedic content must be verifiable. See WP:V, WP:RS for more information. If you have any question or comment you can post at my talk page clicking here. Best --TitoDutta 04:17, 16 September 2013 (UTC)Reply
  • No, your work was not lost. In Wikipedia each and edit edit is saved and backed up. I have readded your content back to the article assuming good faith. There was a minor formatting error too in the "History" section, I have fixed that too. You can start working again. Referencing is essential here. See WP:REFB to learn how to cite. And a) do not add too many Bengali words, b) do not "word to word" translate any Bengali book or newspapers, that will be copyright violation (i.e. book publisher owns right to get it translated). If you have any question or comment you can post at my talk page clicking here (please a header like "New message" and in /discussion pages sign your post with four tiles ~~~~ which will add your name and time stamp automatically (see the way my name and time stamp is added at the end of this message).
