Hello, Ajlehrer, and welcome to Wikipedia! My name is Ian and I work with Wiki Education; I help support students who are editing as part of a class assignment.

I hope you enjoy editing here. If you haven't already done so, please check out the student training library, which introduces you to editing and Wikipedia's core principles. You may also want to check out the Teahouse, a community of Wikipedia editors dedicated to helping new users. Below are some resources to help you get started editing.

Welcome to Wikipedia from one of our science fiction specialists

I hope you and your fellow students have some fun while taking English 465, and please don't hesitate to come to me for help. I do hope you all will consider coming to WisCon this May, as there is no finer way of getting to see the future of actual science fiction (as opposed to sci-fi). --Orange Mike | Talk 20:28, 28 February 2022 (UTC)Reply

ENG 465 Check-In

edit

Hi Alyssa,

This is Sam, the TA from ENG 465! Prof. Hanley asked me to help get in touch with everyone this weekend to make sure the Wiki assignments are moving along smoothly.

It seems like you have everything under control, which is awesome! As you probably saw, Prof. Hanley already approved your topic. I think you're the only student I've noticed so far to have shared their working bibliography on their chosen article's Talk Page, and it seems like you received valuable feedback too!

Maybe you could find quality sources about Octavia Butler herself that will be helpful in making your edits, in addition to those you already located for Lilith's Brood? Just a thought! Looking forward to seeing your draft come together in the sandbox, I'm sure you're going to do extremely well with this assignment!

If you do have any concerns or questions that you think I could help with, feel free to contact me here (I have email notifications on) or message me during Zoom on Tuesday! Happy to help however I can! --Sjnickerson (talk) 00:20, 7 March 2022 (UTC)Reply

Hi again Alyssa,
I noticed that I hadn't heard back from you, but I understand you might already be in communication with Prof. H. Like I said before, your selected sources do seem really strong. The final deadline for this project is coming up, so let me know if there's anything I can do to help! --Sjnickerson (talk) 04:52, 20 April 2022 (UTC)Reply
Hi Sam. Thanks so much for checking in. Unfortunately I had to withdraw from the class. 205.154.248.7 (talk) 15:13, 20 April 2022 (UTC)Reply
Hey Alyssa,
My mistake, I hadn't realized! Sorry to bug you, haha. Hope all is well! --Sjnickerson (talk) 19:47, 20 April 2022 (UTC)Reply
