Links edit

You've got some great ideas - I'd suggest that you think about how these articles intersect with communication studies. The Lupa Zoo would be a great sideproject, because it definitely needs some extra information, but I'm not sure how you'd be able to utilize communication studies academic research in the article. I love the direction you're going in with labor or cosmetics, but try to be more specific about how this refers to a communicative event. Maybe something like Body_image might be a good place to start, it has a lot of links and only a short beginning to an article about media. Debaser42 (talk)

Talkback edit

Hi! So we are working on similar project ideas and he said we should discuss how we can colab on it. If you have ideas we can start to work in our sandboxes to decide how we approach it.

Feedback edit

I reviewed the content you added to Body image. It was a good edit and it is also good that you inserted a reference. My only advice is to avoid using weasel words, as the statement "Some studies have suggested" is classically defined. A better approach, and what is suggested, for example, would be: "According to Mary C. Martin, female college students, adolescents, and per-adolescents compare their physical attractiveness to that of models in ads."<ref>with a reference here</ref> Additionally, any part of that statement which is exactly as it was stated in the reference should be included within quotation marks to annotate them as her words. Following this advice will increase the encyclopedic tone of your additions, and improve the factually neutral delivery of the content itself. Cheers, and happy editing. Hey! edit

Here is the link to the general ambassador program that I was telling you about the other day. If you are interested, the links for each type of ambassador lead to the process with which you could use to apply. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask, and if I do not respond within a few days, feel free to leave a note on my talk page. Kevin Rutherford (talk) 07:43, 10 December 2011 (UTC)Reply

ArbCom elections are now open! edit

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
