Anything Goes (podcast)

edit

Hello, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. A page you recently created, Anything Goes (podcast), may not conform to some of Wikipedia's guidelines for new pages, so it has been moved to Draft:Anything Goes (podcast) where you can continue to work on it. Please consider using the Article Wizard or the Articles for Creation procedure. For more information about creating articles, you may want to read "Your first article". You may also want to read our introduction page to learn more about contributing. Thank you. -- Marchjuly (talk) 09:39, 19 November 2023 (UTC)Reply

Hi Aifabiola20. This is just to let you know that I've draftified the article "Anything Goes (podcast)" that you recently created because it wasn't ready to be promoted to the article namespace at this time, and was running the risk of being nominated for deletion if left as is. The draft has a number of formatting and other issues, but these can be fixed; the main problem, however, is that you've provided no citations to reliable sources that establish that the podcast meets Wikipedia's General Notability Guideline or at least Wikipedia:Notability (web). Wikipedia articles aren't considered reliable sources for any purposes as explained here and citing them doesn't do anything to establish a subject's Wikipedia notability. What you're going to need to do is that establish that the podcast has received enough significant coverage in WP:SECONDARY sources to justify a stand-alone article. My suggestion to you would be to discuss this with either your course's two Wiki Ed advisors (Helaine (Wiki Ed) or Ian (Wiki Ed)) and follow their suggestions on how to best bring the draft up to article standards. I wouldn't recommend you try moving the draft to the article namespace yourself again, especially not in its current state, because that will (as mentioned above) likely lead to it being nominated for deletion. If you've got any questions about this, feel free to ask them below. You, of course, should also make use of your Wiki Ed advisors since they are their to help you and your classmates navigate Wikipedia. Finally, you can also probably ask for assistance at Wikipedia:WikiProject Podcasting since that's were you're likely going to find members of the Wikipedia community interested in creating/editing articles about podcasts. -- Marchjuly (talk) 09:55, 19 November 2023 (UTC)Reply
