July 2023 edit

Wikipedia's technical logs indicate that this user account has been or may be used abusively. It has been blocked indefinitely from editing to prevent abuse.

Note that multiple accounts are allowed, but not for illegitimate reasons, and any contributions made while evading blocks or bans may be reverted or deleted.
If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you should review the guide to appealing blocks, and then appeal your block by adding the following text below this notice: {{unblock|Your reason here ~~~~}}. Note that anything you post in your unblock request will be public, so you may alternatively use the Unblock Ticket Request System to submit an appeal if it contains information that must be private.

Administrators: Checkusers have access to confidential system logs not accessible by the public or by administrators due to the Wikimedia Foundation's privacy policy. You must not loosen or remove this block, or issue an IP block exemption, without consulting with a checkuser or the Arbitration Committee. Administrators who undo checkuser blocks without permission from a checkuser or the Arbitration Committee may be summarily desysopped.

I sincerely apologize to Fowler for my comment about equality of treatment. After considering user @Girth Summit's perspective, I understand that my only viable course of action is to offer a one-sided apology to Fowler. Moving forward, I promise to refrain from reacting to offensive statements made by other users and instead uphold their freedom of expression. Ahomraj (talk) 09:21, 25 July 2023 (UTC)Reply
Certainly, being permanently blocked for a retort seems excessively harsh. A punishment of a month or a year would be more reasonable, but a lifelong ban is capital punishment. Ahomraj (talk) 09:36, 25 July 2023 (UTC)Reply
The block is not punitive, it is preventative. You have abused multiple accounts to conceal your identity and to harass and intimidate another editor - the block is necessary to prevent you from continuing to do that. Your actions were so beyond the bounds of acceptable behaviour that I do not believe any administrator would have considered imposing anything other than an indefinite block. You are not, however, banned; you are indefinitely blocked. You still have access to this talk page, and you are still at liberty to appeal the block, as is set out in the block notice. I personally think it is very unlikely that any checkuser would entertain an unblock request at any point in the next six months, and I would certainly oppose unblocking you at all unless you were to accept a topic ban from the India/Pakistan subject area, and a 1-way interaction ban prohibiting you from interacting with the target of your harassment. You are, however, at liberty to request unblock, and we will see whether any other checkuser disagrees with my stance.
I warn you, however, that if you are caught socking again, you will be subject to an indefinite ban, per WP:3X; that would make the chances of your ever being unblocked immeasurably smaller. Girth Summit (blether) 09:53, 25 July 2023 (UTC)Reply
Lmao, what you consider harassment is quite amusing. I firmly believe in absolute free speech. Therefore, I must politely decline your offer as it contradicts my core values. Rest assured, if you come across any suspicious accounts in the future, they would definitely not be Fayninja. Ahomraj (talk) 11:42, 25 July 2023 (UTC)Reply
My comment served as a warning against slandering Hindus. However, I've come to realize that such remarks can be framed by certain individuals into harassment to block and silence users. As a result, I have now adopted a firm stance as a freedom of speech absolutist, advocating for unrestricted expression without any limitations. Ahomraj (talk) 14:48, 25 July 2023 (UTC)Reply
Your stance is not compliant with the Wikipedia Foundation's Universal Code of Conduct, not with our local policies on harassment and civility, so I will now revoke your access to this talk page. You can still avail yourself of WP:OTRS. Girth Summit (blether) 14:52, 25 July 2023 (UTC)Reply
