February 2020 edit

Hello, I'm Genericusername57. Wikipedia is written by people who have a wide diversity of opinions, but we try hard to make sure articles have a neutral point of view. Your recent edit to List of prayers seemed less than neutral and has been removed. If you think this was a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. gnu57 12:24, 28 February 2020 (UTC)Reply

Hi, thank you for your note to my talk page about Muslim prayers. I undid your change originally because I thought that you were saying that Shia was a false religion, so Shia prayers shouldn't be mentioned--whereas NPOV requires that Wikipedia report the beliefs and claims of every religion, without taking sides. I do think it might be useful to divide the Muslim section into "Sunni" and "Shia" sub-sections. I looked for reliable source references such as newspaper articles or websites about Muslim prayer, but couldn't find any saying that those two prayers were only a Shia practice. If you can add that information with a reliable source, please do so. You could also consider checking out the collaborative group Wikipedia:WikiProject Islam and posting on their talk page here, where someone much more knowledgeable than I can assist you. Cheers, gnu57 22:45, 29 February 2020 (UTC)Reply
