Future candidates edit

Well with most of the articles that have been worked lately still on GAC, I was thinking that we should work with this month's candidates, just looking at some I consider Luis A. Ferré and Luis Muñoz Marín as potential Good Articles if footnotes are provided, what do you think? - Caribbean~H.Q. 18:08, 1 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

I have done some work with Ferré, I'm going to go out in a few minutes but will continue the work later tonight. About the image, its probably a good choice the current one is too dark. - Caribbean~H.Q. 22:42, 1 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

Wikipedia has a new administrator! edit

  Thanks, October!
Thank you for voicing your opinion in my RfA, which passed today with a unanimous 79/0/0 tally. It feels great to be appreciated, and I will try my best to meet everyone's expectations. If you have any advice or tips, feel free to pass them along, as I am sure that I will need them! Cheers, hmwith talk 21:09, 1 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

Heya! :) edit

Hey, I noticed, in my daily broken redir search, that you have a few pages in your old userspace, that are broken redirs. I'm trying something new today... so, I'm letting you know, instead of just deleting them :) SQL(Query Me!) 07:20, 2 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

Mi RfA edit

Gracias por tu apoyo! You three, including Caribbean H.Q. and Tony, formed the centerpoint of my RfA, since I work with you guys on a daily basis and know me best. Like I've said before, I was humbled by the list of supporters, which has certainly set the bar very high. Hopefully, I can count on all of you for counsel and support when the going gets rough. Thanks again !! - Mtmelendez (Talk|UB|Home) 10:36, 2 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

P.S. Solo faltas tu... - Mtmelendez (Talk|UB|Home) 10:36, 2 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

Hehehe :) edit

Je parle un peu français, aussi xD Jealous! Yeah, I've been doing a bit of the same. I recently removed virtually the whole project space from my watchlist - it was being a dick and causing me stress, and already I feel better. Got an FAC, and FLC, and an FPOC running, with another FAC waiting in the ranks when the first one is done :) Thanks, by the way!  — Dihydrogen Monoxide (H2O) 07:16, 2 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for the sincere salutations (Is that a word? OK, I admit it, you win :p)  — Dihydrogen Monoxide (H2O) 07:34, 3 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

World Cup edit

Ok this might seem random, but the Wiki World Cup is going to start soon and I believe Puerto Rico needs to have representation in it, you are probably one of the most active users within WP:PUR and the quality of your edits is superb, would you be interested in representing us? - Caribbean~H.Q. 01:10, 3 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

Your old account name edit

I thought you may want to know that I've had to block your old account name. When I was checking the automatically-generated list of new users, a vandal called Ryulong Ryulong Ryulong Ryulong created the account, as shown here. Sorry about this Agüeybaná. Acalamari 03:26, 3 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

I would like to thank you for your participation in my successful RfA, which passed with a tally of (44/10/5)[1]. Whether you supported, opposed or were neutral in my RfA, I appreciate your participation and I hope that we can continue to work together to build a stronger and better Wikipedia.

What in the name of Odin? edit

You left a message on my talk page, stating you deleted Image:Cubs-barrett1.jpg on the grounds that it was an unfree image. The Author gave me person to use it under a CC-2.5, even though the original image says NC. He gave me written permission, which I even stated in the image's summary. --ShadowJester07Talk 04:23, 3 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

No trouble! edit

The trouble? :) Ha, ha, there wasn't any trouble. :) I was more concerned in case you had any problems with the block or anything. I suppose, however, you can say that that vandal must be a fan of you by the fact they created an account that was your old name! :) Acalamari 16:20, 3 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

More U2 related stuff edit

I think that the great majority of them have topped/been on charts somewhere, and U2 is a highly notable band. Love, Neranei (talk) 02:28, 4 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

Yeah, they've only been around 30 years or so...:-) Which ones in particular were you thinking? I can get to the discography "In A Little While, (sorry, bad U2 puns are my specialty), I'm just dealing with some FLC stuff. Love, Neranei (talk) 02:31, 4 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

List of U2 Awards edit

Well, you came to the right girl! (I am a really big fan.) :-) How about we split up the sections? How do you want to do it? I'm a little busy today, but I should be able to get some work done in the next few days. I'm really happy to help; I started on it but got sidetracked. Love, Neranei (talk) 22:13, 2 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

Ok, sounds good. Hey, how about, after this, we work on U2 discography? I've done quite a bit of work on their articles, but I'm not good at coding, and you'd be great on the coding. I'll work on finding sources for all of the awards, and we can go from there. Is that OK? :-) Love, Neranei (talk) 22:18, 2 October 2007 (UTC)Reply
Excellent, I've started on the refs. :-) Love, Neranei (talk) 22:41, 2 October 2007 (UTC)Reply
That's great! I'm still working on the references, we should be getting there. Love, Neranei (talk) 01:06, 3 October 2007 (UTC)Reply
Hey Eddie, I just wanted to let you know I'm up to 1992. We're getting there! Love, Neranei (talk) 01:48, 3 October 2007 (UTC)Reply
Update: I'm done with the references, I'll start tabling it like you did. OK? Love, Neranei (talk) 03:05, 3 October 2007 (UTC)Reply
I think it should be divided by year, like the Powderfinger thing. What do you think? :-) Love, Neranei (talk) 12:27, 3 October 2007 (UTC)Reply
I personally think that it should be formatted like the Powderfinger thing, is that what you meant by your comment? (Sorry, I didn't quite get what you were saying.) Love, Neranei (talk) 21:23, 3 October 2007 (UTC)Reply
Just tell me what to do, and the formatting and such, and I'll do it, ok dear? Love, Neranei (talk) 21:30, 3 October 2007 (UTC)Reply
Ok, will do. I'll be off and on most of your night, so just drop me a note if I screw up. :-) I'll post regular updates. Love, Neranei (talk) 21:39, 3 October 2007 (UTC)Reply
I think I'm finished (that took like 2 hours :P); would you take a look at it? Thanks! Love, Neranei (talk) 23:48, 3 October 2007 (UTC)Reply
Merci beaucoup! Je n'ai pas su que vous parlez le français! Est-ce que je peux vous toutoir? Anyways, if DHMO's not around, should we submit it anyways? I'm quite happy with it; how about you? Would you like to do another FL project? Love, Neranei (talk) 00:01, 4 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

That means "can I use the pronoun "tu" with you?" (I only just learned that...) Do you want me to do the summaries? I'll go watchlist the page. Yay! Love, Neranei (talk) 00:19, 4 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

Merci beaucoup, je vais le faire! Are you ready to nominate it? Love, Neranei (talk) 00:27, 4 October 2007 (UTC)Reply
Merci beaucoup! I'm at the Grammy section now; am I allowed to support the FLC? Love, Neranei (talk) 00:37, 4 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

My dear Squid Guy edit

You're going to want to look at this and get a Bureaucrat to perhaps get the name back and safe for you. ArielGold 13:55, 4 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

Vandal account edit

Hi, please see this link [1]. Your previous account seems to have created an inappropriate user name which then went and voted on a lot of RFAs and was subsequently blocked. I am trying to figure out - was this actually you who created this user or is this some sort of a system glitch? Thanks — Lost(talk) 13:56, 4 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

See above, and also see the earlier section above that. It seems that when you get your name changed/moved, the old name technically becomes "open" for others to create, even though it is a redirect. A vandal created the name, and is doing the damage. Probably, Agüeybaná will need a Bureaucrat to get the name back, and then it can be protected. ArielGold 13:59, 4 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

Your RfA edit

I know you're probably paying close attention to it, but just FYI, I have added an optional question to your RfA. Please don't feel as if you need to respond immediately, it just seems courteous to inform the candidate in such a case. RyanGerbil10(C-Town) 18:54, 7 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

comment edit

No, in fact it is a personal thing, while it is normally the norm to archive, editors may wish to simply delete old discussions by blanking them, and not archive. 221.133.196.114 01:48, 8 October 2007 (UTC)Reply
I even took the trouble to find this line for you "Archiving of one's own user talk page is not compulsory, but recommended so that the past discussions can be easily searched when required." I did not write that, that you can find it yourself on the archiving page. Or just google it. 221.133.196.114 01:54, 8 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

Re:Your suggestion edit

No thank you :-) I shall continue to Oppose and Support RfA's anyway I wish. It is completely up to users how they support or oppose an RfA. Some user's don't even leave comments, are you going to suggest to them to be more constructive too? Allow me to explain, by the time I reach an RfA the points that I want to make have already been made and it saves me a lot of time rather than just repeating something. So, thank you very much for your helpful suggestion, friend :-) - But, no. ScarianTalk 22:45, 8 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

Buddy, I understand how frustrating it must be and I am sorry. Look - I'll compromise, next time I Support or Oppose an RfA I'll write my own reason, alright? But you gotta take notice that people get offended if you tell them what to do. Even if you smile sweetly and be all nice about it, people are still going to irritated if you tell them how to support or oppose an RfA. Take care and good luck with your RfA, friend. ScarianTalk 22:58, 8 October 2007 (UTC)Reply
No! Of course I understood and recognised it to be in good faith... but... I was just telling you something about psychology. People simply get annoyed if you tell them what to do, especially if it's something they've written. People tend to take what they've written and care for it like a child (We've all had brush in's with editor's on Wikipedia ;-). So you just gotta be extra careful in the future when you go and tell people to be more constructive with Opposes or Support's or whatever. Okay? Are we cool now, friend? ScarianTalk 23:04, 8 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

Some new stuff edit

First of all a little update for when working with the Newsletter, José Juan Barea just passed GAC. Now another possitive note is that as of today List of Governors of Puerto Rico is a FLC, this has been a project of mine for the last month and it has been where I have spent the mayority of my edits, but now that Barea's review is over I will go back to working Luis A. Ferré as well, cheers! - Caribbean~H.Q. 07:02, 10 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

My recent RfA edit

I am sorry you felt it necessary to oppose my recent RfA, which did not succeed. I will attempt to get more experience in the main namespace and see what I can do to allay your concerns and will try again for RfA in two month's time. I hope I will have satisfied your concerns by then, but if not, please comment as you feel you should. Thanks for participating in my RfA. -- Cobi(t|c|b|cn) 06:59, 11 October 2007 (UTC)Reply
