Organic, Inc.

edit

I saw your entry at articles for creation, and your note to the declining editor. First, let me take this opportunity to welcome you to Wikipedia. Wikipedia is much deeper than many new editors realize, so I'd like to draw your attention to a number of helpful pages that may assist you. First, the conflict of interest guideline, which discourages editors from creating or editing articles about themselves, their company, product, family or friends, as they would be unable to edit them neutrally. Neutrality is one of the core pillars of Wikipedia, and is difficult to do when one is closely associated with the subject. If your company has been published by a number of reliable, third-party sources that can verify its importance, then you could create another submission, using as neutral a tone as possible, while striving to refrain from sounding like an advertisement. When referring to sources, refer to the guideline above, as well as the external links guideline, which generally discourages editors from adding alternate forms, such as .pdf files, as they require an external application to verify. While one .pdf file among many is not unreasonable, the majority of your references given were .pdf files, and I'd suggest you find alternate forms of reliable sources. Some other pages that may be of assistance to you are: Citing sources, Manual of style, Layout guide, First article, and Article development. Finally, the Help desk is always manned if you have any questions. I hope you find this information helpful, Cheers! ArielGold 17:23, 10 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

Managing a conflict of interest

  Hello, Afreccero. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about in the page Organic, Inc., you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

  • propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the {{request edit}} template);
  • disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see Wikipedia:Conflict of interest#How to disclose a COI);
  • avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see WP:Spam);
  • do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.

Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. MarioGom (talk) 18:34, 10 March 2020 (UTC)Reply
